  We spent 2 hours aboard a solar boat for a very calming moment. The passionate guide speaks French, English and Portuguese. Discovery of many birds.

  2hrs of quite, relaxed boat trip on a eco boat. Saw eagle, osprey and two purple herons, very rare. The knowledge of the guide was extremely vast, thank you. Recommend a visit .

• There could have been more birds

  It would have been nice to know upfront that there is no bird season in the end of may... Therefore we only saw a few birds. Very positive was, that the boat was a solarboot and it was only a small group of people, so it could be very personal. The guide also is very nice and competent.

  Excellent trip, great guide and we saw some amazing birds. Spoonbills being the highlight! Also, impressed by the solar boat, very quiet to get close to the birds.

  Brilliant experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We saw many different species and were able to get much closer because the boat was so quiet.

  The guide was excellent with a thorough knowledge of the birds of the area. Multi lingual too. The solar powered boat meant no noise or diesel fumes. Saw a vast range of bird life in a tranquil manner. Osprey, spoonbill, flamingo, stork plover, bar tailed godwit, harrier to name but a few. Great value for money.

  It was a nice solar boat ride however it is not a good bird watching tour. We only saw normal seabirds.

  Great boat trip to watch the birds in Ria Formosa Natural Park, Faro. A solar boat, navigating in silence, with a very good guide, Mr. Avelino, who knows all from birds and local culture. A very nice experience. Deserves to be repeated!

  This solar boat tour was by far one of my favourite travel experiences. It's a perfect way to observe the local wildlife and so many species of birds. We visited as a couple in late December and at first, didn't expect much. But we enjoyed it so much! Very relaxing and yet something that looks as if straight out of National Geographic. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend!

  Great bird watching! The solar powered boat was the perfect way to glide silently through the Ria Formosa without disturbing the many species of birds. We were delighted by osprey, heron, oyster catchers, spoonbills, gulls, and many more. The sunset was amazing! Thank you for the tranquil journey through such an important part of the coastal ecosystem. Would highly recommend.
