• A Unique Experience with Extremely Knowledgeable Guides

  Truly a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. It started with a half hour or so in an offroad vehicle with stunning scenery as far as the eye could see. For the hike itself, there is no formal trail, and we followed a path that our guide Neal had selected based on his experience doing many trips to Cosmic Ashtray. Again, stunning scenery everywhere, and Cosmic Ashtray is tucked away at the top of a hill where you would never think to look for it. It was truly otherworldly, and stunning even by comparison to the many amazing sights in the desert southwest. We were fortunate to be accompanied by two guides, Neal and Gary, who both grew up in Escalante and had deep expertise to share about many aspects of the area. Overall, an amazing tour!

  Oh my gosh!!!! This was an absolutely stunning g place to visit. I had seen pictures but it was beyond my expectations. ROAM did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. Neal is a freaking legend of a guide and everyone would be lucky to enjoy this hike with him.

  My family and I have been to the escalate area many times over the years, but this was the first time we explored the area with Roam, so glad we did! We learned about things we never knew and was able to access so many cool and beautiful areas on their tours. We will definitely be exploring with Roam next year when we come back. Thanks for the amazing time!
