Walls of Ston

ストンはドゥブロヴニクから車で1時間ほどのペリエサック半島にある小さな町です。 14世紀に侵略者から町を守るために建てられた印象的な防御壁で最もよく知られています。城壁は5キロメートル以上にわたって伸び、ヨーロッパ最長の防御壁であり、訪問者に人気のアトラクションとなっている。城壁の他にも、町ではカキなどの魚介類も有名で、近くの海から採れる。町には、地元で採れた新鮮な珍味を味わえるレストランがいくつかあります。ストンのその他の注目すべき見どころには、この地域の製塩の歴史を知ることができる塩業博物館や、14世紀に遡り美しいゴシック建築が特徴のフランシスコ会修道院などがあります。

Mateo drove me from Dubrovnik to Split and I was very lucky to have him as my guide. He gave me some ideas on amending my itinerary and it turned out to be the highlight of my trip. He’s an excellent driver. As a female driver, I felt very safe. Highly recommend going with Mateo and picking his brain on what to do on your trip!

Matteo was interesting to speak to, knowledgeable and flexible. We were able to climb Ston wall one way and see a great botanical garden despite the rain. Will definitely seek out Matteo for another private drive in Central/Eastern Europe.

Our recent private transfer from Dubrovnik to Split was truly excellent. Mateo was incredibly professional, punctual, and navigating the scenic coastal route with ease. We felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the journey. Beyond just driving, they were friendly and shared interesting insights about the region, making the transfer feel like a personalized tour. Highly recommend for an stress-free and enjoyable trip!

Mateo took great care of our family, especially after we kept him waiting for our delayed flight to arrive. He was trusted, professional and courteous and went the extra mile to make sure our drive from Dubrovnik to Split via Mostar was entertaining and informative. After dropping us off, he even crafted an itinerary of other sites to see during the remainder of our stay. A great day for us thanks to Mateo!

Booked a transfer with Mateo B. with an hour option at Ston, Croatia. Mateo was meticulous in contacting me a day before the trip to confirm the meeting point and he was early. As I had visited Ston the day before on an oyster & mussels tour, I asked him to change to a mid point for lunch. On the way, he stopped and showed us the Arboretum Trsteno park to stretch our legs. For lunch, he took us to Rizman Slivno winery and vineyard where we had a wonderful lunch with stunning views of the coast below. Finally we stopped by Kliss Fortress for a toilet stop and quick photos of the fort. We arrived Split and he stayed with us until i confirmed the hotel booking. As we will be in Split for 3 days, he even followed up with a message of a contact i could call should I need transportation. This is A+ service and we very much appreciated the extra time Mateo put in to show us around.
