• Amazing tour of Nara thanks to Sakura Concierge

  My family, incl our 3 kids, visited Nara on 12/27 accompanied by Kumiko of Sakura Concierge who was our guide on this tour. Kumiko made our visit so productive, comfortable and enjoyable. We did not waste any time because she pre-planned every detail. Kumiko, on our request, hired (at a reasonable cost) a very comfy car with professional chauffeur to spend the day driving us. They picked us up from our hotel then took us to where we could eat lunch; Kumiko accompanied each one of us to pick their favorite food. My daughter who was craving a special desert that is hard to find was exstatic when Kumiko located a shop that sold it and got her what she wants. In Nara, Kumiko took us to the main shrine and also to less common but very scenic locations that most tourists prob miss. She showed us everything there is to see and helped our children feed the deer. We were all delighted by her kindness, energy, smiles, resourcefulness... it honestly felt as though a family member was the one taking us around. Kumiko (and her driver) deserve an 11 over 10. We couldn't recommend anyone more. The kids miss kumiko and ask about her constantly. She's a treasure.

  Very good experience with this company, Sakura Concierge. Communicated immediately after booking to ask what we were interested in and then planned itinerary to match our requests. Communicated meeting/pickup information as neared tour date and day prior to pick up at our hotel in Osaka. Big comfortable vehicle with safe driver who was very accommodating and also had an English-speaking tour guide (Hiromi) who took more photos than you can imagine and was very attentive. Hiromi communicated well and worked to find ways to personalize the experience and create memorable moments. For example, we lunched at an authentic noodle restaurant adjacent to Nara-koen that we would never have found ourselves. For me, the only thing that might have been a bit better was Hiromi's depth of knowledge about the sites we visited but I should also say that I had done such extensive prior research on everything that I likely had a less than reasonable expectation on that front. Overall, I would recommend this tour especially for anyone who needs a highly customized experience.

  We had a wonderful day with Kumiko and the best driver in Nara, Fushimi Insri-Taisha (which they allowed us extra). We had a lot of fun (due to the level-headed nature of Kumiko and the driver), an excellent sushi lunch, saki tasting, a short additional guided tour of Osska and in the evening they still organized for us a Kobe beef restaurant in Kobe (without prior reservation). Rarely have we felt so well looked after. Kumiko then spontaneously organized us 2 days for Tokjio - with Sumoringer training visit, bath in hot springs, karaoke singing and much more. Your agency is highly recommended

  Kumiko is amazing, she’s so nice and told us so much about Japan, not only what had to do with our tour but she answered every question we had about history, language and culture! Koji the driver is also so great, their happy energy is contagious and spending the day with them made our visit to Nara so much more special. They took us to great places that didn’t have so many other people and made sure we took photos in all the perfect spots. Will be sure to recommend this tour too all of our friends back home we loved them!
