• Fantastic half day kayaking tour to Emerald Cave

  This excursion was a great experience, memory, and adventure. Julia, our guide, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and ensured our safety. I was skeptical at first because my husband and I are well over 70, but Julia took great care of us. I highly recommend this excursion. The scenery and wildlife were spectacular. Thanks to Julia and River Dogz for a great memory.

  I persuaded my family into jumping on the river for the Emerald Cave tour. And were they glad that I did! We had an amazing day on the water! Our tour guide Ryan did a fantastic job sharing the history of the area as we journeyed to Willow Creek and beyond. While on the water we enjoyed the river's natural beauty and wildlife, the coolness of the water which offset the warmth of the day, and shared gratitude for each other and the opportunity to have experienced such joy together.. We were fortunate and encountered a bit of wild life while on the water: bald eagle, red tailed eagle, turkey buzzards, and a rattlesnake. We’ve already decided that we’re doing another tour the next time we’re in Las Vegas. I definitely recommend this tour with the River Dogs!

  I really enjoyed this kayaking trip overall and want to start by highlighting how excellent the guide was. Luke was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, enthusiastic throughout the experience, and very friendly and approachable. He made everyone feel comfortable and did a great job explaining things along the way, which really enhanced the trip. The kayaking itself was beautiful and relaxing, and the scenery along the river was definitely worth the experience. The grotto was the main highlight—unique and memorable. That said, for the price of the tour, I was a bit disappointed with a couple of aspects. The snacks provided were quite basic—mainly chips and some over-ripe fruit—which didn’t feel like they matched the overall cost of the experience. It also felt like we had a very short and slightly rushed window to actually eat them, which made it less enjoyable. Something more substantial, like simple sandwiches, would have felt more appropriate and better suited to the length and price of the trip. In addition, we spent about 30 minutes waiting in line to enter the grotto, which is the main attraction. It felt like that time could have been better used by kayaking further down the river and then returning when the line was shorter, which would have made the experience flow more smoothly. Overall, I’m glad I did the trip because of the guide and the natural beauty, but a few logistical and hospitality improvements—especially around snacks and timing—would really elevate it to match the price point.

  This is a no miss excursion! Luke is a fantastic, knowledgeable guide with facts and stories about history, the great outdoors and kayaking tips galore! The trip down the river and the gorgeous green water is something you will never forget!

• A Must-Do Las Vegas Adventure!

  We had an amazing experience with River Dogz in Las Vegas! Everything from booking to the actual tour was smooth, organized, and well-run. The scenery on the Colorado River was absolutely stunning, and the whole trip felt safe, fun, and well-paced for all skill levels. A special shoutout to our guide, Luke, who truly made the experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made everyone feel comfortable from the start. He shared great insights about the area, kept the energy fun the entire time, and was especially great with the group dynamics. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and cares about making sure everyone has a great time. If you’re visiting Vegas and want something different from the Strip, this is 100% worth it. I would definitely recommend River Dogz and especially Luke as a guide—we would absolutely do it again!

  Great day out. Would definitely recommend if you’re wanting a different pace from Vegas! Julia was really lovely and knowledgeable - felt like we were out for the day with friends rather than a group of strangers! Only comment I would have is that the posting sites emerald cave as a main focal point and whilst it was nice, I was expecting more given this was used as a selling point!

  

  

  

  

• Great day on the Colorodo River

  We had a great day and it was fun to escape the heat in Vegas. Although it was hot it didn’t feel like it was because the river was so nice and cool. Luke was our guide and he was very informative and gave us a lot of interesting facts about the river, its history and landscape. The cave was a little disappointing, as it is very small and there’s a wait to go in. Overall 5* and would definitely recommend! .

  "G" and Michele were the best guides. Super knowledgeable, friendly and great instructors. Any skill level can do this. If you're considering a kayaking trip go with River Dogz. The river was beautiful. We recommend the 0900 trip.
