5.00A wonderful experience made all the more personal because it is a working mine not a museum mine. Very interesting tour with lots of info about the history also about the present economics of the mine. Going down in the cage was a really genuine experience, us tourists went down exactly the same way as the miners do. You don't just look at the mine you feel it. I took bus number 59 from Faro at 08:45, it dropped me outside tourist info in Loule, they booked it for me and showed me how to walk to the mine to get the 10:45 tour. After lunch in Loule I got bus number 10 back to Faro at 15:10. If you take this tour you will not forget the experience.
