  The sunrise tour was incredible! I don't know how our driver managed that mountain! My guide was so personable and gave me time to view everything. I would love to do it again.

  Amazing experience. We got to know a lot about Nepalese history. The added on hike was refreshing and beautiful. Sarita is very enthusiastic about her work and knows the places really well. We enjoyed her company and the knowledge she carries.

• Sunrise in Nepal!

  This was an excellent trip. It began very early in the morning but the guide (Rabina) and the driver got us to the sunrise point before sunrise and for a photographer that is the most important. It rained the night before so the sky was clear and beautiful for sunrise. I took some great sunrise photos. Then we went and explored a couple of cities learning the culture and disciplines of the ancient Newari people. The guide was delightful and allowed me to set the pace. I never felt rushed and I took a lot of photographs. Rabina was very knowledgeable and provided several choices during the tour. The driver negotiated the worst traffic I’ve ever been in my entire life, so kudos to him as well. Excellent experience, great communication from the staff in preparation for the tour. I’m excited to be doing another one tomorrow.

  This tour is an absolute must to see Bhaktapur and Patan square and many of the surrounding temples throughout Kathmandu. My family and I really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it, especially for those on a short holiday in Nepal. The tour guide, Sarita, enthusiastically described the significance of the temples including the meaning of the intricate and ornate details. She is an extremely knowledgeable and very informative guide!

  I booked four day-tours from Kathmandu with HPA, namely nagarkot sunrise, city tour, Bokhara and rafting. Everything was perfectly organized and Suman was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Mr.Naba from head office always checked via whatsapp whether everything was going well and was more than helpful and flexible with any additional wishes. Very recommendable agency.

  If you're after a day-long hike, sunrise views, culture and history then this is the trip for you! The hike through Nagarkot was beautiful and our guide was super knowledgable of all the different cultures and traditions in the local area, he really made the day special. What was also amazing about him was that whilst by the end of the day my boots (and bum) were covered in mud, our guides shoes was spotless! After a downpour the day before I honestly don't know how he did it. Worth noting here that the local Nepalese on the tour were all lovely, friendly and happy to share their landscape - and even helped me get clean after a tumble into a puddle. Our guide gave us the option to hike for a further two hours through the jungle after the first two hours, which we happily accepted - it was so worth it. The Hindu temple at the end of the hike was great - dating back to 300 AD! The way that it has been restored is a testament to the skills of the local people as it has really kept its authenticity. Needless to say, the sunrise coming up over the Himalayas was stunning, truly breakth-taking. What was especially great about this tour was the private nature - no tour bus, just us and our private guide!! Remember to take warm clothes for the morning and that can be stripped off for the heat of the afternoon. Also, remember $15 for breakfast at a mountainside resort.

  Still recovering from the 4am start to watch the sunrise across the Kathmandu Valley and over the distant Himalayas, and a pleasant 22km hike passing through farming countryside, Brahmin, Tamang and Newari villages before Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sunrise was a bit of a fizzer, but still pretty despite the cloudy conditions. We’ll have to revisit when it’s not the wet season. Thanks to our guide Lion Ad Bidur for an unforgettable day. I would highly recommend this tour.

  This hike was a lot of fun. It was great to get out of the touristy parts and see how real Nepalese people live. There were amazing views around every turn, each was more breathtaking than the last. Pankaj was our guide. He was great! His english was very good and he was very nice. He was able to answer all the questions we had about Nepal. The drive there was 1 hour, watched the sun rise for 30 minutes, breakfast at a hotel for an hour, hiking for 4 hours, then drive back. We started at 4 am and got back to our hostel at noon. Most of the hiking was Downhill so it was not too difficult. I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone!
