What To Expect
Arkansas River

Wilderness Aware Rafting

5.00We had an incredible full-day trip with Ashley and Sunny on the Numbers! The rapids offered the perfect mix of excitement and challenge, all set against a backdrop of stunning canyon walls and breathtaking mountain views. Ashley and Sunny were not only fun and engaging but also highly skilled and knowledgeable, making us feel safe while keeping the energy high. An unforgettable experience, can’t recommend it enough!

5.00We had a great time rafting the numbers. Gatlin was our guide. He was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. We have rafted with several different companies in the past and Wilderness Aware tops them all. We will definitely raft again with WA.

5.00This was the second white water rafting experience for our family and it surpassed all our expectations. Our guide for the numbers was Gatlin; he is extremely knowledgeable and encouraged us to follow his directions for a great experience. Bonus we surprised to see a bear!

5.00We had such a great time on our half day rafting adventure with Gatlin as our guide. Although we went during the end of the season when the water was running lower, the company made sure we had the right raft to ensure we still had a ton of fun! We would recommend this company.

5.00We had an great time rafting the numbers/narrows with our guide Gatlin! First time on class IV and it was awesome and a good workout. Looking forward to doing this river next time with Gatlin at higher flows. He also made a good lunch spread. Props to the photographer, we got some great pics!

5.00We had the best day on the river! Gomez had some amazing technical skills- he kept us safe, taught us some things about the river, and made the day really fun. My teenagers loved it. The lunch was yummy. Highly recommend.

5.00This was such a great time! Our guide - Gatlin was so experienced and navigated the river with ease. From the time you put into the water you are in for excitement. There is not a dull moment on your wild ride down the rapids. Towards the end of the tour you experience the man made rapids in Buena Vista that kayakers use to practice for competitions. Such fun!

5.00This is a great tour company! We had the best guides Gatlin and Danny. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. They knew the river well and were a lot of fun to spend the day with. Class 4 and 5 rapids will give you a workout! Amazing day! We will come back!

5.00The river was crazy fun and the rapids kept us laughing and smiling the whole time. Our guide Greta was fantastic and kept us going strong and staying safe. The first part was a gorgeous drift through the valley and the second half was consistently rapids with fun twists and turns! Glad to hear they clean the wetsuits after each use too!

5.00Our guides name was Justin… Justin was extremely aware of the rich history of the area and the river. He was an excellent conversationalist and kept us entertained! He kept us informed and aware of everything that was going on. He is truly a pro and made us look like Pros too! Plus he made one heck of a lunch! Thanks for everything, Justin!
