  My sister organised this tour for my birthday, as I love VW Combis. And I am so delighted she did! We, along with 4 friends, thoroughly enjoyed it. Hugo made the trip so fun and enjoyable, and showed us some lesser known sights of Porto.. including a trip to the beach with beautiful Pastel de Nata. It really is a lovely way to see the sights, with a friendly guide in his beautiful VW combi. I would highly recommend it.

  Our private tour with Hugo from Let’s Kombi was the perfect way to begin our five days in Porto. From the moment we climbed into the vintage Kombi, we knew we were in for something special. The vehicle itself was incredibly fun — honestly, the only upgrade might have been if it were the Batmobile. Over the course of just more than two hours, Hugo guided our family of five through Porto’s beautiful streets and stunning viewpoints, sharing fascinating history, local insight, and plenty of humor along the way. His love for Porto is obvious, and his fluent English made the experience easy and enjoyable for all of us. One of the funniest parts of the tour was that while we were busy taking photos of Porto, other tourists were stopping to take photos of us in the Kombi. It definitely added to the experience and made the tour feel even more unique. Hugo’s personality truly made the tour exceptional — warm, knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Every member of our family would highly recommend Let’s Kombi to anyone visiting Porto for the first time. We’re already looking forward to returning and booking a Douro Valley tour with Hugo on our next trip!

  Absolutely the best guide we have ever had…. and we have had many excellent guides! Hugo exceeded all expectations. He is charming, knowledgeable and entertaining. He knows Porto and Portugal’s history like the back of his hand. The tour, held in a comfortable restored VW Kombi Bus, gave everyone a window seat while allowing everyone to hear clearly (in two-way conversation, without headphones or speakers) his valuable narrative. You will feel like Hugo is your long-time friend. You won’t want the tour to end. Without exception, the best touring experience we have ever had.

  I booked Hugo’s Porto tour in his Kombi VW van based on his 5 star reviews and it did not disappoint. Don’t hesitate to book his extended 4+ hour tour of Porto. I thought both my two boys (11 and 13) and my 82 year old dad would get a kick out of the VW van. We all ended up befriending Hugo (especially my father - oh boy he and Hugo sure did chat about VWs and classic cars while my dad rode shotgun). We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip to some hidden places in Porto. The trip ended with a great lunch on the Duoro River at a local restaurant. We enjoyed it so much we booked him a second day for his Douro Valley wine tour. That was an amazing day. Two wineries hand picked by Hugo that entertained the whole family, a Portuguese feast for lunch, amazing views, great wine, and a cool short boat ride. His driving skills were put to the test in both Porto and Douro and I was so glad to have him behind the wheel. We appreciated his driving skills and personal attention and insider knowledge so much that we asked if he’d consider creating a van tour of the Galicia region of Spain just over the border. Let me tell you - Hugo picked some beautiful spots for the Galicia trip including an amazing waterfront seafood lunch. We otherwise would have rented a car and wouldn’t have been able to enjoy our one day in Spain as much as we’d were with Hugo leading the way. If you are looking for a one of a kind tour of Porto or the surrounding area book Hugo! A+ 5 stars.

  My family and I did the sightseeing tour of Porto with Hugo and it was just amazing!! Hugo is so friendly, informative, funny and helpful! It was an amazing experience from start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Will definitely book other tours with Hugo in the future!!
