  Spectacular 2-Day Tour in South Africa – Jonathan is the Ultimate Guide! When you're on a business trip and can add a day or two to your itinerary, it can be hard to plan sightseeing. In recent years, I've come to appreciate private tours that follow their own pace and cater to your own preferences—even if that means going off-script just to gaze at the sea because it's presenting you with a rainbow at that very moment—and that's exactly what happened! I had two absolutely fantastic days with Jonathan, and he truly made the time in South Africa unforgettable. He is not only an exceptionally safe and professional driver, but also an incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and attentive guide. Day 1: The Ultimate Cape Peninsula Tour Jonathan curated the perfect itinerary, blending seamless driving with fascinating insights into local history and culture just mentioning few: We started with a wonderful walk and great photo opportunities by the iconic Muizenberg Beach with its colourful and beach huts and a morning coffee watching the surfers. A scenic drive through this historic Simon's Town, learning about its rich colonial history and naval background. Jonathan timed our visit at Boulders Beach perfectly to see the famous African Penguin colony from the boardwalks. We explored Table Mountain National Park in Cape Point Nature Reserve and took in the dramatic, rugged scenery.: We captured the classic photo at the famous sign of Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point, visited the lighthouse for spectacular ocean views, and enjoyed a seamless experience. The return journey at the Atlantic Coast Route offered breathtaking coastal vistas, capping off a perfect first day. Day 2: Stellenbosch & Winelands Luxury The second day was a beautiful contrast, focusing on scenery, history, and culinary delight. Jonathan guided me through the charming town of Stellenbosch and the surrounding wine region. The absolute pinnacle of the day was lunch on the terrace at Delaire GRAFF Estate (yes, THE LONDON JEWELER!). Enjoying world-class food & excellent wine with that breathtaking, almost surreal view of the mountains and vineyards was a memory for a lifetime. Jonathan’s flawless organization, local expertise, and genuinely delightful personality made this tour the absolute highlight of our trip. • Great Cape Town Highlights

  We visited Cape Town in May 2026 and, due to changing plans, arrived without a firm itinerary. Having visited Cape Town previously, we knew that a private guide would provide the most flexibility for our family of four. Unfortunately, most operators were already fully booked. Fortunately, our Airbnb host, Lorelle of Luxe Locations, connected us with Jonathan from Ticha Tours. Despite our last-minute request, Jonathan somehow managed to accommodate both a Cape Peninsula tour and a Winelands tour on consecutive days. He personally picked us up for our Peninsula tour in a clean, comfortable vehicle and immediately made us feel at ease. Jonathan was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly adaptable. He had a well-planned itinerary but was always willing to adjust based on our interests and pace. His local knowledge helped us avoid crowds, and we never felt rushed. Highlights included Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, and a beautiful sunset drive back to Camps Bay. The following day, his associate Tawanda guided our Winelands tour in the Stellenbosch region. Tawanda was equally professional and personable, coordinating winery visits, tastings, and lunch while keeping the day relaxed and flexible. One winery stop ran significantly behind schedule, but Tawanda remained patient and accommodating, ensuring we still enjoyed the experience and returned safely to our Airbnb. What impressed us most was the balance both guides struck between providing information and allowing us to simply enjoy the day. They shared history, culture, and local insights without ever making the tours feel scripted or overwhelming. The pricing was very reasonable for a fully private experience, and the value was outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend Ticha Tours to anyone looking for a personalized, flexible, and enjoyable way to experience Cape Town and the surrounding region.
