What To Expect
The Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre
グダンスク・シェイクスピア劇場（Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre）は、ポーランドのグダンスクにあるシェイクスピア劇場。 17世紀の劇場「フェンシング・スクール」の跡地に建てられ、イングランド人旅行者がイングランド・ルネサンス演劇の作品を上演した。 建築家レナート・リッツィが、フェンシング学校がロンドンのフォーチュン・プレイハウスをモデルにしたことを示唆するリモンの研究に照らして建設した。 正確な再現の試みではないが、新しい劇場はこれら初期の劇場の設計からの要素と現代の技術を組み合わせている。 2014年9月にオープンした。
Brama Wyzynna
ハイランド門は、以前は「高門」とも呼ばれ、防御対象でありながら、かつてはグダンスクへの主要な入口であった。 ポーランド王が厳粛に歓迎され、街の鍵が手渡されたのは城壁の中であった。 門はヤン・クレーマーの設計により1574年から1576年に建設された。 そこは、かつては高い土塁も含まれ、強力な堡塁で補強された、現代のグダニスク要塞の西部に位置していた。

5.00The two of us spent a brilliant hour touring Gdansk in a buggy with a guide and driver. We felt very snug, despite a butter wind. Our tour was personalised and we got some great recommendations for the rest of our holiday. For those alone, it was worth the money. Both the guide and the driver peppered their more formal commentary with personal stories and tips, which were fascinating. Definitely a 5 star experience
