Todai-ji Temple

東大寺 (東大寺、東大寺、「大東寺」) は、日本で最も有名で歴史的に重要な寺院の 1 つであり、奈良のランドマークです。 752 年に日本のすべての国分寺の総本山として建立されたこの寺院は、784 年に奈良から長岡に都を移して政務への影響力を低下させるほどの勢力を誇っていました。東大寺の本堂である大仏殿は、現在の 1692 年の再建では元の堂の 3 分の 2 しかないにもかかわらず、最近まで世界最大の木造建築物としての記録を保持していました。巨大な建物には、日本最大級のブロンズ像 (大仏) が安置されています。高さ 15 メートルの坐像は大日如来を表し、両脇には 2 体の菩薩が立っています。

Junichi was an excellent tour guide for our all day Nara tour. He initiated contact with us weeks before and had a preliminary itinerary already organized. He also catered the tour to our family perfectly. We highly recommend his tour of Nara to everyone visiting the area. You will not be disappointed.
