Robert Smalls Monument

John Mark Verdier House

ジョン・マーク・ヴェルディエ邸博物館（ジョン・マーク・ヴェルディエじゅうたくはくぶつかん、John Mark Verdier House Museum）は、アメリカ合衆国サウスカロライナ州ボーフォートにある、1804年頃にフランス語のユグノー商人で植栽家のジョン・マーク・ヴェルディエによって建てられた歴史ある連邦様式の邸宅である。ベイ・ストリート801番地にある堂々たる家は、盛り上がったタビーの基礎、2階建てのペディメント・ポルチコ、優雅なシンメトリーなど、19世紀初頭の建築を象徴している。藍貿易とシーアイランドの綿花農園からヴェルディエの富を誇示し、ボーフォートのダウンタウンの社交場となった。

I took four coworkers to my hometown on a day trip. When I have taken guests in the past, I have started with carriage ride. It was difficult to book a June carriage ride, but this golf cart tour was a great replacement! It was so wonderful! Rick was our guide and was a novice in not only historical facts about Beaufort, but also truthful personal antidotes. I am speaking for all five of us when I say he could’ve driven us around for an additional hour and we would have enjoyed itso much! I highly highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Rick as a guide! For somebody who grew up in Beaufort, it was just enjoyable for me to learn more about my hometown as it was for my out of town visitors!

Excellent and informative tour. We loved the detail and especially in relation to homes used in movies. The golf cart was an excellent way to view the local area.

This was a fun way to learn all about the history of Beaufort & see the gorgeous old historic homes & live oak trees of the area. Our guide Chase was a great historian! Would highly recommend this trip to other travelers.

I was lucky to have Chance as my guide today. He was so knowledgeable, kind and attentive. Our trip through the historic part of Beaufort was beautiful and full of nice historical stories. I definitely recommend this activity.
