5.00Fabio was a great driver and guide that gave very clear instructions (in advance and at the starting point) and was always reachable by phone in case of problems. The hike was beautiful and peaceful and easy to follow. Definitely a hidden gem on the island. Would recommend!

5.00Booking We had a really great experience with Levadas In and Out for our transfer to Vereda do Larano. Everything was smooth from start to finish, with all details we would need the day before, which made it completely stress free and the whole process very easy for us. Transfer Our transfer driver Fábio was excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable, and a great driver. I usually can feel car sick on windy roads, but the drive was very smooth and relaxing! Fábio really added to our experience with great insights and a welcoming attitude. Before setting off, Fábio provided loads of helpful information such as weather updates, route directions and options, and important tips for the walk, which we really appreciated. It was also great they gave us two different options for where we could be picked up, so we could head to the beach cafe as we had a bit of time to spare! The biggest advantage was definitely the convenience of being dropped off at one end and picked up at the other. It saved us the hassle of trying to organise parking or doubling back, which would have been difficult. Hike The hike was beautiful, and great that you get to experience forest levadas and also coastal views! We were worried the walk was very exposed, however it was absolutely fine. The paths are wide and there’s railings on any dangerous parts. The walk was also far less crowded than some of the PR trails and it was lovely having the path to ourselves for most of it. Definitely a hidden gem of a trail! Recommendation Overall, now that we have done the transfer, there is no way I would drive after seeing the chaos of the car parks there with people walking an extra hike just to get from their car to the beginning of the trail! Far easier and less stressful being dropped right at the start. We’d absolutely recommend booking direct with Levada’s In and Out to anyone planning to do a hike in Madeira. We would definitely book with them again when we hopefully return to Madeira again!
