• A hot day at the palace, but very worth it!!

  What a beautiful and impressive site! Our guide, Alex, led us all around the palace providing great historical facts and answered all our questions. We had plenty of time to explore the gardens on our own. The bus with A/C was a blessing during the heat wave.

  There was a marathon in the city we weren’t aware of and got stuck in traffic. I contacted them and they responded late back to us. Tour was at 11. We arrived to the meeting spot at 11:20. Once I arrived is when they responded back saying we missed the tour. They weren’t responsive at the moment they offered us a 50% discount on another tour with them but we didn’t do it. All other tours I have booked with this app they are always responding and trying to work things out expect this one.

  I purchased this experience for my mother, my daughter and myself. The first thing I would say is that the spot to meet the bus is findable, but it is certainly not obvious. It is kind of in a parkway. We took a cab to get there, and he shrugged and said "this is the address". We got there about 20 minutes before departure, and there was no one there from the company. Eventually that got sorted. The bus was great, and the ride to Versailles was easy. When we got there we split into groups. Our tour guide was very nice, but I think he might have been new because we made a couple of turns that were not quite right. We had purchased the tour of the palace and the palace gardens. They give you a set of headphones for the tour so you can hear the tour guide. This is great because it is quite loud and crowded. However, they keep your garden tickets hostage until you turn in your headphones. I totally understand why they do this to ensure they get all of their equipment back. But, this is not a good system when the tour guide neglects to give you your garden tickets; which is what happened to us. We turned in our headphones and there was a bit of chaos. By the time we realized that we did not ever get our garden tickets, our guide was gone. My mother, who is 79, my daughter and I walked all around and back out to the busses to try and find anyone with the company to try and help us. It is quite a long walk from the back of the Palace where the garden is to the busses. There was no one to be found. I tried reaching out on What'sAp, but the service was limited and did not go through. Finally, I called for an uber because the bus that was included in our ticket was not leaving for two hours, and now we could not get back into the palace nor could we go to the gardens. I did not feel that inclined to sit in the parking lot for two hours. We were probably 10 minutes away when my What'sAp to the company went through. I requested a refund for just the garden portion of our tour because it was clearly the mistake of their tour guide that I did not get what I had paid for. They refused any sort of compensation to us. In the end, I bought three round trip bus tickets, guided palace tours and garden tours. I used one-way of the bus trip and the guided tour. I found it very frustrating that they were unwilling to do anything to try and make this right when it was the mistake of their tour guide that led to all of this. Anyway, the guided tour portion of the day was pretty good. We did get to go in the tour door which was a way shorter line, and having the headphones was very helpful to be able to hear the guide. But the customer service and the lack of even providing me everything I paid for was very frustrating and ultimately left a bad taste in my mouth.

  Easy meet up. Bus was comfortable. Tour guide was terrible. Even with the intercom system, he was very hard to hear. We ended up going back through Versailles with their purchased guided tour. The guide seemed rushed and largely unhelpful. The best part was not having to wait on line to get in.

  The guide was knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and interesting. The bus driver was very safe. I did not know the return time when I signed up for a half day experience beginning at 2:00. We returned at 6:50.

  We were packed into the palace like sardines and left too much time on our own in the heat with no shade could not board bus for return early as it only arrived after everyone was assembled and waiting for it

  You only have your tour guide for 2 hours, then you are left on your own to wonder around. We caught a taxi back to our hotel early as it was too long to stay.

  We were stuck in traffic and driver went to wrong meeting point and we couldn’t get there in time. TripAdvisor wouldn’t refund. Wasted a lot of money!!
