• Dinner was amazing and...

  Dinner was amazing and secluded. We had a perfect view of old town from our dinner table and the food was excellent. Afterwards we went to the concert room and listened to some of Mozart's favorite pieces while overlooking the sunset from the fort. Amazing tour!

  The experience is nice. BUT The way to get there is long and Viator is not make it easy!!! The instruction "how to get there" will be reveld only if you push the picture of the attraction, but there is not clue for this. The consert is on the highst point in the old city, you must get therer with an elevator. When you get castle the signs are not clear and if it in a rainy day... it is much harder.

  This tour was a tale of two scenarios…I can’t recommend the music & musicians HIGH ENOUGH! They were amazing and entertaining! The only reason I rated a 4 instead of 5 was because the dinner prior to the concert was average in taste and below average on service. Our server was nice but was just too overwhelmed with all the meals. We were first ones there and last ones out - making it to the concert…with about 5 minutes to spare. The castle was a marvel to look at - I recommend going at least the 30 minutes early to visit the open areas of the castle. The fenicular staff didn’t want to let us up earlier than 30 minutes which I don’t understand because we probably would’ve spent more money up there! I know the ticket says you can only go up 30 minutes early so they were just following the guidance, but I don’t know why it’s critical.

  The event was very well organized. The food was good (unfortunately, the meat was only lukewarm) and the service was very good. The subsequent concert was of very high quality.

  We had a great night at the castle! The dinner was good, a turkey dish with truffle mashed potatoes and a beef consume with dumplings was more than enough food. Some people paid the higher price seemed to have a different meal of beef and a different desert. There are excellent photo opportunities from the castle and attending the concert there was intimate and very special! The musicians were so talented and the music was wonderful.

  Dinner and the show were absolutely incredible, I would definitely do it again. The views at night from the fortress are breathtaking. We did have an issue with the tickets, they should have covered a drink at dinner and a drink at the show. They said we didn't have the "correct" ticket despite what it showed. We ended up getting a champagne but it was a bit of an issue.

  Highly recommended for anyone who has a special occasion when they are visiting Salzburg. Food was excellent and the service of our waiter was absolutely top notch. Only slight downside for us, was, we thought we would be able to jump the queue at the cable car to go up, but you can't, as you have to get a ticket from the box office and queue with everyone else. We believe that this should have been included in the ticket that we received. The concert and the setting was also extremely memorable, even with the storm that arrived half way through the concert!

  We were blown away by the concert and having front row, VIP seats. The musicians are first class, and being close enough to see their fingering of the string instruments was a real treat. We also loved our table with a window view for dinner, although the servers forgot to serve us for quite a while. The food was decent though not outstanding.
