  This experience was absolutely fabulous, and Vega, our driver, made it even more wonderful. He was incredibly professional and did everything he could to ensure this day trip was as enjoyable as possible. The two temples and their gardens are magnificent. A true breath of fresh air.

  Terrific tour - highly recommend. My driver for the day was Vega, who was great! Vega collected me from my hotel and drove me to Borobudur, where he collected my tickets and connected me with my guide for the temple (you join a broader group on an official tour). I then had time to explore on my own. Vega then drove me to the next temple complex, which was self guided. Vega was very helpful and kind, we had interesting chats about the country and culture, and the structure of the day felt efficient yet flexible and relaxed. Eg I needed a morning coffee so Vega took me to a place the locals go and helped me order etc.

  In Japanese, the word comes from climbing Borobudur Temple, but you can apply for it with peace of mind, as you simply climb the stairs, not climbing. However, the stairs may be too high for children as young as 5 years old. You can trust your tour guide to be punctual and give you the right advice.

  Vega was a lovely and easy going tour guide, driving me to Borobudur and Prambanan. He contacted me on WhatsApp the afternoon before to confirm pick up location and time. He helped me navigate the entrance to both temples either amazing speed and ease. And we met up easily afterwards. He took me to a restaurant near Prambanan, which was clearly devoted to tourists, but was tasty and easy. If you are really hungry immediately after Borobudur, just ask for lunch earlier. He answered some of my random questions while we were driving. Most importantly I got to see two amazing monuments.

  A great experience! It’s so nice that all the tickets and transfers are included, you don’t have to worry about anything and can just enjoy the day ☺️ our drive Budi was amazing! very experienced and we had great conversations with him ☺️ 10/10 recommend!
