What To Expect

まず、1500年も前にビザンツ帝国によって建てられた、キリスト教徒やイスラム教徒のために何年もの間建てられた、世界で最も古く、かつて最大の大聖堂の1つに入ることを想像してみてください。キリスト教のモザイクとイスラムの要素が一堂に会するのは世界でも類を見ない今日のアヤソフィアは再び奉仕モスクとなった。(まだビザンツのモザイクを持っている）一発で教会とモスクを見て、その両方を学びます！まずは、ハギアソフィアの歴史の始まりから今日までの深い歴史に触れます。上部のギャラリーには、見事なビザンチン様式のモザイクと、イスラムの書、隠されたバイキングの落書き、イスラムの付加物のような美しい内部ディテールがあります。また、教会やビザンツ皇帝の戴冠式場からは、小さくても非常に重要なシンボルやディテールが数多く残されている。ツアーが終われば、お好みで室内に長く滞在することもできます。礼拝エリアには入っていません。上のギャラリー見学エリアのみ見学できます。

Osman was easy going and informative. We were not planning on hiring a guide, but he was so friendly, we were convinced to join him without any pressure from him. He has a personable style, adding a bit of humor to the tour. He is proficient in English and had no problem answering our many questions. We were so impressed, we hired him for the following day! I highly recommend hiring Osman!

Osman was referred to me from a neighbor who had used him as a guide 5 yrs ago. His reputation lived up to all our expectations. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made sure that we were having a great time. Istanbul has been amazing walking the streets with him.

It was a very good balance of serious history and fun facts. Thanks to Osman’s tour we took so much more from our visits to Topkapi and Hagia Sophia. His stories stay in one’s memory and allow to see differently not only the sites we visited but the whole amazing city of Istanbul.
