What sets this 14-day adventure apart is its rare combination of two of Tanzania’s most iconic experiences in a single journey: summiting Mount Kilimanjaro via the scenic Marangu Route and embarking on a classic African safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Few itineraries offer both the physical challenge of reaching Africa’s highest peak and the thrill of world-class wildlife viewing, all in one seamless trip. Adding depth to the experience, a visit to the Hadzabe community at Lake Eyasi provides genuine cultural connection, making this the perfect choice for travelers seeking adventure, authenticity, and unforgettable contrasts—from snow-capped summits to vast savannahs.

I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, and this 14-day Kilimanjaro and Safari experience was the best I have ever had. I set out with seven friends expecting to see beautiful scenery and wildlife, but what we got was much more than that. The first seven days were dedicated to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route, and although it was described as a fast ascent, everything was organized so professionally that we felt prepared every step of the way. Reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise was one of the most emotional and rewarding moments of my life. The guides constantly encouraged us, monitored our health, and created a positive atmosphere that kept our team motivated. The safari portion was equally impressive. Tarangire captivated us with its towering baobab trees and elephants. The Serengeti offered endless wildlife viewing and breathtaking open plains, and the Ngorongoro Crater seemed like a natural wildlife sanctuary unlike any other place on earth. Every game drive was exciting, as there was always something unexpected waiting around the next bend. A perfect balance of trekking, wildlife viewing and cultural experiences was created, which was very efficiently organised by HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS. The team worked hard to make our trip enjoyable and memorable, professionally managed and filled with unforgettable memories from start to finish.

Our group of 9 friends completed our 14-Day Ultimate Mountain Climbing and Wilderness Safari, and the experience was truly challenging and rewarding. Reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route was one of the most emotional and fulfilling moments of our lives. The climb was challenging, but incredibly well-organized, and the guides kept us motivated and supported every step of the way. The climbing team worked tirelessly to ensure we were comfortable, safe, and well-fed throughout the trek. Standing together on the summit as a group of friends was an unforgettable moment. The safari afterward was the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Tarangire National Park gave us incredible close encounters with elephants and giraffes, we also explored the famous Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Everything from accommodation to food and transportation was professionally and carefully arranged by HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS. We returned home with unforgettable memories and deep gratitude for this extraordinary expedition to Tanzania.

After embarking on the 10th day of a larger 14-day expedition with the HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS team, we immediately felt how special it was to explore Tanzania together. The Marangu Route greeted us gently with its first shaded path, damp soil, and the sounds of the quiet forest. Our guide Lucas was best hikers, he always helped us. The transition into the wetlands offered up stunning views and a sense of rising above the ordinary world. The higher we climbed, the stronger our group dynamic became. We pushed forward over steep slopes, adapted to the thin air, and discovered new levels of resilience within ourselves. Even the simplest moments' filling up on water, sharing a joke at camp, or watching the sun set behind a distant peak- became highlights. Leaving Kilimanjaro behind us, a whole new chapter began. Tarangire introduced us to the raw charm of Tanzania’s wildlife. Now our guide Gaspar is just an awesome guy very friendly, he always inspired and explained everything about wildlife. Elephants roamed peacefully through the baobab-studded terrain, and birds filled the sky with color and sound. The vastness of the Serengeti magnified everything, the larger herds, the wider spaces, and the thrilling unpredictability of the predators. Each game drive surprised us with something unexpected, from sudden lion sightings to silent moments of watching zebras grazing. The landscape surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater seemed almost surreal, like a living natural amphitheater. The Hadzabe on Lake Eyase were all about the journey. Their traditions, humor, and everyday skills provided a rare cultural encounter that made our entire expedition balanced, thoughtful, and unforgettable.
