After going up to the Pilatus middle station on the world’s steepest cogwheel train, we will hike to the Pilatus summit. From there we descend in a gondola to Kriens. After a train ride to Weggis we will partially follow the Mark Twain path up to Rigi Kaltbad (described in Mark Twains book “A Tramp abroad”). From Rigi Kaltbad a train will take us up to the Rigi Kulm summit and later down the mountain. 5.00That was definitely a highlight. Barbara accommodated my request to visit only mount Pilatus and mount Rigi. She created a tailor-made itinerary for me, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hike up mount Pilatus, followed by the return trip on the cogwheel railway, was strenuous but definitely worth it. The next day, we headed to Weggis to hike the Mark Twain Trail before taking the railway up to the summit of mount Rigi. The views there were phenomenal, too. I highly recommend a tour with Barbara.
