Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater
Around 6.30.p.m, you will join in an amazing show of unique art of a water puppet show, a traditional art form closely connected with the long-standing spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. Popular content of water puppet shows express the peaceful daily activities of Vietnamese farmers including: cultivating, directing buffalo, catching fishes, public entertainment (swimming contest, rice cooking contest…) together with many historical legends, performed in a modest way that has attracted audiences for centuries. The interesting show is performed in a water pool with the water surface being the stage.

Around 7.15.p.m, you will continue to the harbor by cyclo to enjoy a dinner cruise of the traditional-style Dragon Boat in the city lights while admiring the panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City by night. You will end the trip at 9.30.p.m.

5.00This tour was such a fun experience! Even though it was raining, they picked us up in a cyclo and provided covers for both us and the bikes, so we stayed comfortable the entire time. Honestly, if it’s raining during your tour, I highly recommend choosing the cyclo—it made the experience even more memorable. We went during rush hour traffic, and it was incredible being immersed in the energy of the city while still feeling completely safe. Our guide, Vin, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information that helped us learn so much throughout the evening. The water puppet show was a must-see and one of the highlights of the tour. Afterward, we enjoyed dinner on the boat, which was included in the price. The food was delicious, there was a live band, people dancing and celebrating, and the drinks were great as well. I would highly recommend this experience. It offered so much value and was one of the most enjoyable activities we did. Just don’t forget to bring cash to tip the cyclo drivers—they definitely deserve it!
