A popular lake in central Lakeland given it's attractive location and Wordsworth connections. It's one of the districts smallest lakes.

5.00Very lucky to have booked the last evening tour of 2020! My husband and I booked the tour on our way up to the Lake District on Sunday, it was our first time visiting and the evening tour (31st August) made our trip so memorable. David picked up from our hotel, his knowledge of the area is phenomenal and was happy to answer all our questions. He’s so passionate about the lakes and took us to see so many hidden gems, which otherwise we would have missed. Because of David, we will definitely be visiting the Lake District again! Thank you David. Highly recommend this tour!!!

5.00My partner and I had the chance to book a private evening Lake District tour through Brook Tours of Windermere. David was very kind and is incredibly knowledgeable about the Lake District, which allowed us to visit some remote and secluded spots. David ran the tour very smoothly, ensuring we made the most out of our two hours. The vehicle we used was spotless and very comfortable, and complimentary snacks and water bottles were provided. We highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking to discover lake district through a private and exclusive experience with a fantastic and highly knowledgeable guide.

5.00My wife and I have been staying in North Yorkshire on a mini break and crossed over to Kirkby Lonsdale for a few nights. As an extra treat, we booked a last minute evening tour with David to see the wonders of the Lake District. David has lived near Windermere for the past 20 years and there is not much is doesn’t know about the local area. His knowledge and experience is extensive which made for such a lovely experience. We booked a 2 hour tour and ended up extending it to 3 hour because we there was so much to see! David is a fantastic tour guide and we would really recommend booking a private evening tour instead of a daytime coach or bus tour. We were taken to all the popular hotspots but also off the beaten track to some really unspoiled, non tourist areas that were just so peaceful and beautiful. Getting around in the evening also means the traffic and tourism is quiet and makes for a really pleasant experience. We can’t recommend David enough as a knowledgable and thoroughly lovely guide who was only too happy to share his experience with us (he also has snacks and drinks for the tour for you to enjoy too ;) Getting booking, you won’t be disappointed.
