This walking tour offers you the opportunity to explore the Acropolis Monuments with a licensed tour guide. Whether you arrive in Athens in the afternoon or morning and you want to visit the Acropolis when the weather is more cooler, and the crowds are starting to wane, this tour is for you. This unique and leisurely tour takes you to the glorious Parthenon, and you will get to enjoy the landmark monuments of the Greek capital in a new light.

Persons under 18 years old they must need their passports to ensure their age as they have a discounted entrance ticket, a photocopy on mobile device will work too.

Entrance fees are included (unless you book without entrance tickets) - if you choose without you will need to book them on line at the official website asap since they can be sold out days in advance, if still tickets are sold please inform us to book them for you in advance
Infants must sit on laps - Strollers are not allowed within Acropolis, you can leave your stroller at the meeting point in our premises at Porinou 5.

Please make sure this tour includes approximately one mile of walking uphill/downhill on uneven surfaces and 200 steps (both ways).
Guests are advised to wear flat and comfortable walking shoes. Large backpacks and oversized purses are not permitted inside the site. Long queues and waiting might occur and every effort is made to coordinate the best timings for visits.

5.00Super informative and great storytelling. Evening weather was warm but bearable with a nice breeze. The stairs and inclines are not nearly as bad as some reviews claimed. It was so emotional to visit the birth of democracy!

5.00Informative, friendly tour. Ionnis ( probably spelt wrong, apologies) was a patient, informative and friendly guide. Note the walk upto the acropolis is very hilly and needs a sure footing. We did the 10.30 am tour and it was sweltering

5.00We were collected from the ship and driven the short way to the Acropolis. It was a very hot day (35c) so we were wearing hats and used an umbrella. The site was packed with tourists and although we didn’t hurry you had to be careful when walking up the hill as the path is marble and can be slippery. Lovely to see all the old ruins and great that they are trying to preserve it all. A must see place, not much in the way of shade but there is a drinks shop and tourists shop near the ticket office. Toilets are in the car park and before the ticket office.

5.00Anastasia was great. She was very sweet and tried to make sure that everyone was engaged and included. She knew lots of historical information and shared that with her group enthusiastically. This is not a reflection on Anastasia, but the transmitter that was given to her by the Athens Walk was not in good working order. And they did not provide extra ones incase there was a technical issues. I would highly recommend that TripAdvisor provide extra transmitters and headsets in motivation of such issues.

2.00Our guide was very low energy, low engagement and not very interesting to listen to. He didn’t do anything to make it fun or entertaining. It made for a very long two hours. We were in a group of 20 and one of our devices didn’t work properly from the start. We notified him, but he chose not to replace it and didn’t do anything even though to make sure my family member could hear him even though he knew her device stopped working so we had to try and chase and pace with him through the crowded areas. My device worked ok, but still broke up frequently. He also didn’t really seem to create time or opportunities for pictures which everyone who goes in such a tour typically wants. It was a very underwhelming experience for such an important historic treasure.

5.00Demos was our guide for the tour and executed the tour with great expertise and authority of the subject. He gave the information in a modern and humorous way given that the subject was historical in nature. He asked the group to use the imagination to go back in time and history in a fun way. I would recommend Demos to any one doing this tour of the Acropolis.
