Wander through the Jewish quarter with our guide and see the famous landmarks. Discover the awful stories of families who were hiding from the Germans in WWII and feel the tension of living in Amsterdam during wartime. Hear how hundreds of Jewish children were saved from deportation and explore the beautiful Jewish district. Learn about Anne Frank and see the Westerkerk and Anne Frank House from the outside.
At the end of the tour, you have the opportunity to visit the house. unguided.
We will advise how to get tickets for the house, subject to ticket availability. If booking less than 10 days before your tour, you will receive the Virtual Reality experience instead.

We start the tour nearby the Jewish Historical Museum. We will see the 4 Jewish synagogues of the Museum. Pass by without entering

5.00This tour was impactful and exceptional. Out tour guide Guido - was articulate, knowledgable, and patient (this was important - because it was warm!). His ability to speak in depth about the history pre-war, and the angst and sorrow - excellent. Ending with the tour of the Anne Frank House and Annex - pulled it all together. We would highly recommend.

5.00Great tour guide made this incredibly moving tour outstanding. A full recounting of the life before, during and just a bit after the war / holocaust. The tour culminated with a tour of the Anne Frank House and annex - impactful to say the least.

5.00Exceptional tour given by Kayleigh! She wove in the history of Amsterdam’s tolerance and placed the Jewish community within it. Her knowledge of the daily life in Amsterdam, before and during the Nazi occupation, was superb. She pointed out the stumbling stones in front of houses marking where Jews had lived before the war, explained the design and purpose of National Holocaust Names Memorial, two of several special moments on the tour. She also showed us the first Holocaust Memorial to gays murdered by the Nazi regime. Kayleigh and this tour of Jewish history are fantastic.

5.00Fsbulous tour. Guido was the absolute BEST. He was very knowledgeable and kind to our daughter who had a problem with her foot. Ann Franks house was amazing. Having tickets inside was a must.

5.00It is walking but at a leisurely pace. Our guide Guido was very knowledgeable and made everything interesting but not like a lecture. We were able to ask questions and get our specific interests explained and the history of it all. Having them purchase our Anne Frank tickets made it so much easy so book early! We were there immediately after Memorial Day so we had some extra history and were able to see impact of war on descenders. Took a tram and had a pie and coffee stop. Great tour!! The non Jewish people in our group really appreciated this history.
