• An unforgettable day in the Douro Valley!

  We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour from Porto to the Douro Valley. We were part of a very small group, which made the whole day feel personal and relaxed. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the pickup was punctual and seamless. Our guide, Antonio, was outstanding. He was incredibly friendly, warm, and knowledgeable, sharing so many interesting stories and insights throughout the day. He drove very safely and comfortably, was always attentive, and even took photos for us so we could fully enjoy the experience. His hospitality and professionalism made us feel welcome and comfortable at all times. The day itself was fantastic. We enjoyed breathtaking views of the Douro Valley, a scenic boat cruise with drinks and snacks, and a delicious lunch with generous portions. The wine tasting was excellent, with Port wine and local wines explained in an engaging and informative way. Visiting the vineyard and learning more about the region was another highlight.   Great tour! We took a 1.5 hour bus out to the Duoro Valley, stopped at a lookout point and then to a vineyard. Our boat was really fun as well! I’m glad we got the train part of the way back. Jesus was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the area. Definitely recommend!

  I want to start by highlighting Manuel, who was an exceptional guide throughout the tour. Very attentive, friendly and professional, contributed to making the experience even more pleasant. The Douro Valley tour with Deltatur was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Everything was very well organized, allowing us to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Douro without worries. The lunch was delicious, the boat ride was beautiful and provided unforgettable views of the region, and the visit to the farm with wine tasting was an excellent experience. Between the sympathy of Manuel, the quality of the organization, the gastronomy, the boat tour and the wines, there is no way not to like this experience. I highly recommend and would definitely repeat again!

  An excellent tour and a wonderful day. The train ride, the boat trip, lunch and the vineyard visit were all fabulous and so was our tour guide Carlos. Definitely worth taking this trip!

• Separated my family which defeated the purpose

  I had 18 people going on the excursion so I had to make two separate reservations. But because I wanted to make sure I had everyone together, I called and emailed to make sure my family would be all together. I was assured it would be no problem. I arrived and was told that three of my family had to get on a separate bus and do a different trip than the rest of us. While it would have been one thing if there just wasn’t room on our bus, that wasn’t the case. There were four strangers on the buss with us while my three family members were out on a separate bus. My family will never again be in the Douro Valley together. And yes this is first world problem. But I spent almost 3k so we could experience it together. I called and I emailed to confirm. I only asked that they reimburse me for the three that were excluded and they denied my request. The Douro Valley is beautiful. I do recommend going. It just was unfortunate that I spent so much to have three of my family exploded.

  We were fortunate to have Vitor as our guide and Miguel as our driver - what a fantastic team they are! Both smiley, fun and welcoming, they were fully engaged with us the entire time. 😍 The tour in itself is lovely being a range of transport with beautiful views. We felt safe on the minibus on some very winding and steep roads through a mountainous area. If we could give more than 5 stars we would!

  A brilliant trip by mini bus, boat and train which was well organized. The guide Jose and driver Maguel were both informative and entertaining. The food was delicious and the wine went down well.

  Manual was a FABulous tour guide. Super knowledgeable and very warm and friendly. He made everyone comfortable and made sure all our needs were met. The tour itself is lovely and really gives you a sense of the beauty and importance of the wine country, its cultural impact to Portugal and the world. The boat tip was gorgeous and fun! I highly recommend this experience!
