Your Viking adventure begins in the heart of Solvang, where young explorers are welcomed into the world of the Vikings, where they're given new Viking names for the quest ahead, and get to decorate their own crowns. Then you'll head through Solvang’s Danish village streets. Your fearless guide will share fun stories and history while pointing out connections between Solvang and Scandinavia. A highlight is visiting the Solvang Viking Museum. Kids explore ships, swords, rune stones, and other Viking artifacts while completing a scavenger hunt through the exhibits. Along the way they’ll see a replica Viking ship and hear stories about Viking explorers who sailed across oceans and reached North America long before Columbus. Next, the group stops for a Solvang classic: freshly made aebleskiver, the famous Danish pancake balls served with raspberry jam and sugar. The adventure ends with a visit to a local arcade where kids are given token to play. Throughout the experience, kids stay engaged with interactive storytelling, scavenger hunt challenges, and playful activities designed for ages 5–12 while parents enjoy an easy, memorable way to explore Solvang together.

5.00I’ve lived in Solvang my whole life, and this tour still managed to surprise me! I discovered so many hidden gems in our little town that I never even knew about. It was such a fun experience. My kids especially loved the games along the way—and of course, the ableskivers and arcade were a huge hit! I’d definitely recommend this family-friendly tour to both locals and visitors.

Our tour guide Kate did an excellent job at educating the kids without overwhelming them with facts, but rather playing games and making the experience interactive with both the group and the town of Solvang! From learning about the Viking folklore surrounding Solvang, touring the Viking museum, exploring a very cool hidden arcade, and to top it off eating some delicious Ableskivers the experience was an absolute blast for both my kids and I. Will definitely recommend for your next family trip to Solvang!

5.00Such a fun experience! It’s a great introduction to the history of Solvang and a way to see much more than you would exploring on your own. Staff were friendly and the activities worked for a wide range of ages. Would definitely recommend for families
