This hands-on workshop will immerse you in the ancient art of mosaic making, leaving you with your very own hand made souvenir.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, you will be able to make something beautiful during these few hours at Giuseppe's workshop. Whilst you are making your mosaics, you’ll learn about the history of the art form in the region, as well as Giuseppe's own story about his mosaics in Parma (which you will have already noticed along the streets).
We want the day to be fun and relaxing for your whole group, so if there is anything specific we can do to accommodate you, please let us know.

Unique 1/2 day experience creating a 10cm x 10cm mosaic of your choice with local Mosaic master Giuseppe Fornasari. Giuseppe will provide a fascinating (but brief!) introduction to the history of mosaics and he will then help you to choose your design and show you how to create your very own mosaic. After the course has finished we will cement your design and you will be able to pick it up in the afternoon (if you have chosen a morning course) or the next morning (if you have chosen an afternoon course). Local snacks and drinks included.

5.00What a fun experience! Giuseppe was a friendly, patient, and knowledgeable instructor. The design I chose turned out great but it was a little challenging. Giuseppe was so kind to help and let me stay a little extra to finish. He is very talented and has been making mosaics for years. His art studio is the perfect place for inspiration and learning. Don't pass up the opportunity to learn mosaic making from a master! You will love it.

5.00My friend and I had the best morning at Giuseppe's workshop learning about his craft and getting to try it for ourselves :) Giuseppe and his assistant Alice were very friendly and also great teachers! It's so nice to be able to take a memento of our trip to Parma home with us and I would highly recommend the course to anyone visiting the city.
