It only takes half a day off-road to allow us to savor the wonderful contrasts of the historical sub-region of Baronia, in the surroundings of Orosei and Onifai, in central-eastern Sardinia.
A unique experience of contemplation of its severe, harsh nature, made of mountains rich in pine forests, beaches and transparent sea, but also useful for knowing something more about the history of Sardinian pre-nuragic culture.

Domus De Janas
The first stop of the 4x4 tour, in fact, is in Oddoene to visit a "Domus de Janas" (house of the fairies), one of the many tombs carved into the rock dating back to the Neolithic period in Sardinia (around 4500 years BC). We will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the magical and indecipherable realities created by medieval popular fantasy. Amidst games, laughter, we will learn the profound cultural significance attributed to them by archaeologists and the popular beliefs of the local inhabitants.
Spiaggia di Capo Comino
We will then head towards the sea to the beach of the Saline di Capo Comino. The best preserved white sand dunes of the east coast, bathed by a crystalline sea protected by centuries-old junipers and home to some famous films. At this point we will have deserved a refreshing bath in its emerald waters before returning to Orosei.

5.00A pleasant and well-organized day, punctuated by beautiful landscapes between sea and hills. Simone, our guide, shared some keys to understanding Sardinian history and culture, from the Nuragic origins to contemporary Sardinia. The gastronomic aspect, especially with a delicious goat ricotta, also helped to illustrate the richness of local traditions. A nice break to better understand the island. 🍃🧀🇮🇹

The meal at the shepherd's took us back in time... it was excellent! Simone and Melina are great guides! Many explanations about Sardinia from prehistory to the present day!

5.00My day trip with Orosei Adventours was an amazing experience of Sardinian culture and history, something I couldn't have found travelling around the island on my own. I really liked the care and eco-consciousness with which our guide, Melina, explained the past and also the present topics that the Sardinian population is facing. Melina is a gem of a tour guide, not like a teacher, but like a good friend that is showing you around her home. An absolute highlight was the lunch at shepherd Tattanu's hut in the mountains: homemade and yummy cheeses, ham and honey. I highly recommend going on a tour with Orosei Adventours during your Sardinia holiday, they really care about the island and give you a great experience!

5.00It was a wonderful experience. Melina, our guide, is very good prepared and above all manages to convey her love for the territory and for Sardinia. We were able to really pass from the mountainous territory to the sea through a wonderful guided tour made of culture and nature. On board the Jeep we had so much fun crossing paths surrounded by greenery reaching wonderful landscapes. Highly recommended!!!

5.00Melina was not only friendly and kind but a world of knowledge. Shes so passionate about Sardinia and the earth. We would recommend this tour for anyone looking for something different and fun… Mario took us to see some beautiful places and we learned some history about the island . Highly recommended and the topper was petting the Sardinian donkeys!

5.00In family of 10, we made 2 excursions with Melina's team. 4x4 sea mountain with shepherd meeting then excursion capo camino biderosa. These are two great experiences: Alternating hikes in beautiful landscapes and cultural explanations Melina and her team shared their passion for the beautiful Sardinian country. We also recommend for serious organization and preparation in advance of the trip
