  I have no idea how this tour operator has such good reviews, but as of June 15, 2026 this vendor is an absolute SCAM! There are so many golf cart tours to choose from - choose another!! We are a family of 4 with 8 year old twins, and Rome was our last stop in a 10 day trip. My husband and I have been to Rome before, and we wanted our daughters to see the highlights, so we wanted to do a golf cart tour since we knew they’d be tired. I chose this operator since they stated they’d pick up at our hotel. The tour stated it started at 12:00AM, and I figured surely this was a typo since who would start a tour at midnight for 3 hours? Keep in mind the description says nothing about it being a night tour. I booked it and immediately sent a message to confirm the start time and that ideally we’d like to start at 11:00am if available. I received a message back that it would be best to start as close to the stater time as possible. So I sent another message asking if it started at 12:00AM (24:00) which seemed incorrect, and if it was supposed to be 12:00 PM which would be fine for us. I would have canceled if it was midnight. I reviewed a message back that yes, they’d meet us at the hotel at 12:00. Which wasn’t exactly reassuring since they didn’t explicitly answer that it was NOON, but they also knew we didn’t want 12:00AM and he said yes, they’d see us at 12:00. On the day of the tour I got a message at 12:48 am saying our tour is coming up soon. Then I got a message that our driver was Marina. I wrote back asking AGAIN if they were picking us up at noon, and that we were at the hotel and could be ready as early as 10:30AM if she wanted to come earlier. Heard nothing back. Noon comes and goes and no golf cart. At 12:15 I call and no answer. Get Viator involved and the tour said they wouldn’t refund since we booked a 12:00AM tour. They dodged the question over and over. They’re doing this to scam tourists!

  My husband and I are on our honeymoon in Rome, and you need to book this golf cart experience! It was reasonably priced. Our tour guide, Ryan, was hilarious, kind, flexible, and an all around good time! He was very knowledgeable of the city, and told us facts that we were surprised to hear! Also, we got to see little places that we otherwise would not have had a chance to see. We got a chance to go off by ourselves several times and take pictures, and overall it was so relaxing, refreshing (after taking a couple walking tours), and such a blast. The length of the tour is 3 hours, and just the two of us so private! It is the best way to explore Rome; you all need this experience! 10/10.

• Excursion in Rome with the family

  Initially, we had booked the tour with this company for 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, we had to change the schedule through our travel agency since the provider changed the time to 7:00 AM. We arrived the day before after almost 2 days of flights, so we were forced to change to 2:00 PM; we received a discount, but this situation disrupted our itinerary for the day. On the day of the tour, 1 hour and 30 minutes beforehand, Alesia, our guide and driver, contacted me to see if she could pick us up 1 hour earlier. I indicated that we were out on another activity, so I could not arrive until the scheduled time. Even so, Alesia told me to try to arrive earlier. I confirmed again that I would arrive at 2 PM; I could not commit to an earlier time. This put me a bit under stress. We arrived a few minutes early; it was difficult to locate her since they did not allow her to wait in front of the hotel. Finally, we met at the corner of the back street. Still, we left on time to start the tour. Alesia arrived very cheerful and kindly greeted us. She asked us what we wanted to see or if we preferred her to take the lead on the itinerary. We indicated where we wanted her to take us (considering the itinerary as promoted on Get Your Guide of the points of interest in the Imperial city that were to be visited). Alesia began by taking us to several points of interest near the hotel, such as the monument to Vittorio Emmanuel. We continued exploring the city, and she explained the nearby ruins, the Circus Maximus, and Palatine Hill, but we only stopped for photos at the Circus Maximus; then she took us to see the nearby rose gardens at the Circus, where we also made a brief stop, and she took us to the viewpoint Giardino Degli Aranci (spectacular views); here we could get off to take photos and admire the landscape, and we saw a beautiful, very old church next to the viewpoint. We made a stop to refresh ourselves; at that moment, Alesia asked us where we wanted to go, letting us know that at 4 PM she had to pick up another family. She gave us the option to go to the Trevi Fountain or some other place that interested us. I asked her if she would take us or at least pass by the Spanish Steps and see the Villa Borghese. She clarified that it was either one or the other because there was not enough time for everything, so we decided to go to the Trevi Fountain. We were left with the desire to see those last two places, as this was my second time in Italy, and I chose this tour for its offerings. I advise you that if you wish to purchase this tour, be prepared and inform your guide of the points of interest you primarily want to see. The golf cart needs more suspension to withstand the wear of the cobblestone streets. If you suffer from back problems, I suggest you take it into consideration. • Excellent tour and guide

  Alessia our guide, very friendly, fun, explained in Spanish everything and brought us very close to the places, we stopped to take photos, and where you could not park, took photos in microseconds, impressive, super nice. The best option for older people or those who can hardly walk

  

  

  

• Know how to choose a good company

  Mauricio, our driver is a competent person with a lot of knowledge and he even adapted his French to our visit (we took the tour in English because there was no French option) Although there was a lack of communication between the address and the departure time, the company was able to adapt and offered us a refund or a change of time. Lucky we changed time... We spent an afternoon of culture, beauty and good company. Thanks to Royal Tours Rome and Mauricio

• An absolute must do in Rome

  We booked a morning golf cart tour and it was the best decision of our trip. The cart easily accessed tight spaces that big tour buses cannot go. Mauricio our guide, shared fascinating stores and history at every stop. He even recommended a great restaurant for lunch when the tour ended. Highly recommend doing this tour.

  The tour person ( GIOIA) was the best private tour person to be with if you would to see the whole Rome experience and kind, nice person to talk to. She explained all the history that we went to see. Best ever. Book with this person, never regret.

  A great way to see Rome! We wanted a quick overview of the city when we first arrived. Gioia was so knowledgeable and friendly! We were able to take our time for photos and walking around, and enjoyed a lovely meal & wine! Definitely recommend!

  The tour was really fun for the family, informative and entertaining. What was great was the amount covered in the tour and things that we could see by cart. We went down little streets and laneways, which could not be accessed by a bus. To walk all this too, would be very tiresome. It was an excellent way to see much of the city. We all really enjoyed it.
