Grote Markt square is the heart of Antwerp. It is filled with gorgeous medieval guild houses, the City Hall and the Brabo Fountain in the middle. Here our guide will share the history and legends behind the square and its monuments.
Hendrik Conscience Statue
Named after the Flemish writer Hendrik Conscience, this atmospheric square truly is an architectural and intellectual treasure. It hosts an impressive baroque church and the old city library.

5.00Had a fantastic 2 hour guided tour with Luc D. (Not the other Luc!) and he was really engaging and made the whole experience human and relatable. Of course he had lots of facts and interesting info about the history and famous events in Antwerp but did it a really interactive and inclusive way. Highly recommend the tour.

5.00We took the tour of Antwerp on Friday June 19th 2026. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of our guide, but I want to stay unequivocally that he was one of the best guys my husband and I have ever had. His historical knowledge was wide and deep and he was able to was able to connect the historical development of the regions. He created a vivid picture of what it was like during Antwerps golden age. It was a wonderful experience.

5.00We had a fantastic tour. Luc D. Is a formidable guide, he knows a lot about the city and its history. He was born and raised here and you can tell. He can answer any question. I myself have lived in Antwerp for a long time and heard many things I did not know about my city. Very nice that there was also support from prints. All of this is supported by Luc D’s juicy way of telling, funny anecdotes make the tour over too quickly even after 2 hours. He also makes a personal connection with the guests, asks them interested questions and involves them in the tour all the time. We had a fantastic time and so did our American friends.
