This walking tour was the right combo of local food and local information - we sampled a variety of architectural styles and eras along the way. Francesca, the guide, was interesting to chat with as well - curious about our countries and happy to talk about her world. We benefitted from her knowledge in an additional, unexpected way. She let us know that there was going to be not one but three demonstrations in the Piazza del Duomo later in the afternoon. The barricades and the police presence would have been hard to miss, but it was really helpful to find out what was going on.
