Arusha Region

Your safari begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). After clearing customs, you'll be warmly greeted by your driver-guide, who will be holding a personalized name sign in the arrivals hall. You’ll then be transferred to Arusha Planet Lodge, a charming mid-range retreat tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The lodge features African-inspired bungalows, a swimming pool, and tranquil gardens—ideal for relaxing after your journey. If time allows, you may opt for a cultural excursion around Arusha town to visit local markets, museums, or coffee farms(additional costs).

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, set off for Tarangire National Park, a lesser-known gem famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and scenic river valleys. Your full-day game drive will explore this rich ecosystem, with a picnic lunch enjoyed at a scenic spot within the park. In the late afternoon, you’ll head to Burunge Tented Camp, located on the edge of Tarangire near Lake Burunge. The camp offers tented rooms on raised decks with private verandas—perfect for watching wildlife pass by as the sun sets over the Rift Valley.

Serengeti National Park

Today’s journey takes you northwest toward the heart of the Serengeti National Park, passing through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, enjoy scenic stops and panoramic views of the volcanic landscape. By afternoon, you’ll enter the Central Serengeti, an area teeming with lions, leopards, cheetahs, and resident game. After a short introductory game drive, arrive at Into Wild Africa Luxury Tented Camp, nestled in a secluded part of the park. This intimate camp blends comfort and wilderness, offering large canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and starlit dinners near the campfire.

Serengeti National Park

Spend the full day tracking the movements of the Great Wildebeest Migration as the herds begin moving toward the Western Corridor. Your guide will tailor the game drives based on real-time wildlife movement, increasing your chances of witnessing predator-prey interactions and mass grazers. For a bucket-list experience, consider an optional hot-air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost). After a picnic lunch in the bush, continue exploring before ending the day with sundowner drinks overlooking the endless plains. You’ll return to Into Wild Africa Camp for another peaceful night under the stars.

Grumeti River

After breakfast, begin your slow game-drive transfer toward the Western Serengeti, following the migration route as it approaches the Grumeti River. Along the way, look out for giraffes, hyenas, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife. You’ll reach Serengeti Mbalageti Lodge in the afternoon, beautifully situated on a hill with panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and river valley below. This mid-range lodge offers chalet-style accommodations with en-suite bathrooms and verandas—an excellent base for viewing wildlife in the western sector.

Grumeti River

Today is dedicated to exploring the Grumeti River, one of the most dramatic locations to witness the Great Migration. Between late May and June, large wildebeest herds often gather here before attempting the perilous river crossings, where crocodiles lie in wait. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch along the riverbanks, and watch for predators such as lions and hyenas following the herds. In the evening, return to Mbalageti Lodge to relax and recount the day's thrilling sightings from the comfort of your veranda.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Begin your morning with a final game drive through the Western Serengeti, a last opportunity to spot stragglers of the migrating herds or elusive cats. Afterward, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, optionally stopping at Olduvai Gorge, a famous archaeological site known as the cradle of mankind. You’ll arrive in Karatu, a lush farming town on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands, and check into the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Perched dramatically on the crater's edge, this unique lodge is built into the volcanic rock, offering breathtaking, direct views into the caldera below from every room. Its stone-clad architecture and ancient cave paintings create an unforgettable atmosphere, perfect for reflecting on your safari adventures.

Ngorongoro Crater

Your grand finale begins early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. The rich volcanic soil supports over 25,000 animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and the critically endangered black rhino. After an unforgettable morning of game viewing, enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool before beginning your return journey to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport for your onward travels.
