Second stop in Piazza Armerina (since 1997 it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), which includes a visit to Villa Romana del Casale, a prestigious imperial villa with the best Roman mosaics preserved in the world: mosaic floors, wall mosaics, columns, capitals and coins .

Discovering the Valley of the Temples, one of the largest, most representative and best preserved archaeological sites of classical Greek civilisation, included in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1998. The archaeological area corresponds to the remains of ancient Akragas, the original nucleus of modern Agrigento. Inside the area there is also the Pietro Griffo Regional Archaeological Museum, which houses 5688 finds that illustrate the history of the area from prehistory to the end of the Greco-Roman age. Villa Romana del Casale
The Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, in Sicily, is the supreme example of a late imperial Roman luxury villa and symbolizes the use of the territory by the Romans as the center of the large property on which the rural economy was based of the Western Empire. Villa del Casale is one of the most luxurious of its kind and is famous for the richness and quality of its mosaics (4th century AD), which are recognized as the most beautiful in situ Roman mosaics. This mosaic treasure testifies to the life habits of the Roman ruling class and shows the mutual influences between cultures and exchanges in the ancient Mediterranean - between the Roman world and the North African area. 5.00I joined an excursion with this service from Syracuse to the Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana del Casale. Our driver was named Simona. In total, there were 3 tourists. It was a truly beautiful, pleasant, and well-organized day. Simona was wonderful. Kind, helpful, and friendly! I recommend this tour and this agency!

2.00Very disappointing. No better than hiring a taxi. Driver spoke no English. We received no guidance or tour information regarding the archaeological site Would not book this again.Not worth it.
Tour description is rather misleading. It should be properly rectified.

3.00The tour which cover both Agrigento (Valley of temples) & Piazza Armerina is well designed. However, we were not brought to the Museo Archeologico at the Agrigento Templi, as contrast to the description in the tour product. This could be due to misleading information presented either by the tour operator or not properly vetted by Viator. As a result, we all ended up having an extra hour left behind at the Archaeological site, waiting for the minivan. If so, we prefer 1.5 hours at Piazza Armerina (which is too rush for 1 hour), and 2 hours at the templi (which were given 3 hours), and 0.5 hours lunch/snack break (instead of 0 hours).

4.00Good experience, fascinating places to visit, but seemed rushed. Not enough to time to explore and no time for lunch. I would recommend highly , but be prepared with snacks and water.

5.00This bus was PERFETTO option how to see and learn about Catania so much information in only some days 🥰 Everything was great and on the top of that we got the cutest and nicest tour driver ever - Alfio 💛 Thanks to him our weekend with the tour bus was really unforgettable and completely stressless 🙏
