We will start our day in the historical center of Neive, a small medieval hilltop town. One of the towns of the Barbaresco wine area and one of Italy’s top 5 most beautiful hilltop villages. We will sit down in a caffè with a warm beverage of your choice and will go over the area with the local maps to give a better idea of the regions, the grapes, the winemaking process, and what we will be tasting throughout the day. From there we will take a beautiful drive through the the hilly roadways that are covered in vines that brings us to our first winery stop, where we will see the wine making process, talk about some family history, and a taste of some of the family’s most precious wines. After we will stop in a medieval village for lunch at a small local spot, before heading to our second winery visit. We will then after, head back to our meeting point where you will be free to enjoy an aperitivo or dinner after the tour. The start time is at 9.30 and the end time is at 17.00

We will start our morning off in the town of Neive where we will stop for a coffe and discuss our agenda for the day as well as going over the region for wine and its grapes. After this introductory to the area we will then make our way to our first winery visit in the area of Barbaresco. After this visit we will plan to stop at a local Osteria for a nice typical lunch. Then we will head over to the area of Barolo where we will visit one of the small medieval villages in Barolo and then off to our second winery visit. After this second visit has concluded we will return back to the town of Neive so you can stop to have an aperitivo before heading on your way.

5.00The full day wine tour we booked during our stay in Alba went exactly as Amanda had planned and mapped out: picked us up at our hotel on time (early actually), visited a winery in Barolo, and visited a winery in Barbaresco in the afternoon. Also had the opportunity to visit Amanda and her husband Gianni's winery Delinquent, which may have been the highlight of the day. They couldn't have been more gracious hosts. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable about the wines and terroir of the region.As an American ex-pat, English is her first language which makes it very easy to communicate with for American/English speakers. She also arranged (for a fee) shipping for the wine we purchased on our visits. Overall the experience felt like we were being driven around by a friend. Highly recommend.

5.00Everything was seamless from the initial reach out all the way thru the experience itself! Amanda was very responsive when planning, and helped us customize to our liking by selecting which areas and wineries would be best. Day of the tour, we were picked up our guide Gianni. He was fantastic, and we really enjoyed our time with him. He's from the region, knowledgeable, easy to connect with, and funny! Lastly, the process to ship wine we bought home was seamless as well. Everything arrived intact 2-3 weeks later, and we've already enjoyed a bottle :) Thanks, team.
Truly an amazing experience and we will be back!!

5.00Nicol is very personable and more than happy to be flexible WRT the program. This outfit has great connections and I tasted some superlative wines, often the highest end offerings of the property that you don't expect to be shown to tourists. The lunch place was wonderful too. Bravo!

5.00If you love wine, history, and authentic experiences, this is the tour for you! Our day touring wineries in Alba with Elenora from Amanda’s Wine Adventures was truly unforgettable. We visited three exceptional wineries, met passionate winemakers and staff, and learned so much about the region’s rich history, winemaking techniques, and the challenges they face. At each stop, we enjoyed generous tastings of outstanding wines, including Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo di Langhe, Barolo or Barbaresco - each showcasing the unique character of Piedmont. One of the highlights was a fabulous meal at one of the wineries, perfectly paired with their wines. Elenora was the ideal guide - warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. She provided wonderful context throughout the day, ensured we traveled safely, and made us feel like part of the Alba family. I would recommend this experience to anyone, whether you’re a wine enthusiast or simply curious about the region. It’s an absolute must-do in Piedmont!

5.00We had the best time/day with Elenora from Amanda’s Wine & Adventures! Amanda and I communicated 3 months before our visit and she planned out a wonderful day from our conversations. We started the morning with a truffle hunt that was amazing… 2 black truffles and 1 white truffle our dog found. Then we did some wine tasting in La Morra that was very thorough of the region (impressive). We had lunch at a small cafe in the countryside that was delicious! In the afternoon we visited a local winery, met the owner and his son for a tour and tasting. My wife even managed to get some shopping in and bought a few gifts for the family. Overall, a truly wonderful day and great experience!

5.00What an absolute delight! We had two days with Eleonora who is not only passionate and knowledgable about wine, food, and the Piemonte region, but is also friendly, engaging and easy to talk to. Highlights were the truffle hunting, cheese tasting, Piemonte tajarin for lunch, and of course all of the delectable wines. Booking and communication with Amanda were seamless. If we are lucky enough to return to the area, we will definitely book another adventure!

5.00Great experiences to learn more about Italy's culinary and wine history. Amanda and her team were responsive, knowledgable and incredibly friendly. They even helped us with translating and doing other "research" for us during our stay in Italy. Highly recommend. We did a truffle hunting tour and a wine tasting day with Alexa. She was so sweet, timely and took us to the best enoteca for a wide variety of wines to taste, a delicious lunch, and a small wine maker's vineyard. The next day, we had a cooking class in Barbaresco at a family home - so fun! Highly recommend booking experiences with Amanda's Wine Adventures - totally worth it.

5.00We had a really enjoyable day out. combining a truffle hunt with a winery visit in the Barolo region. Our guide, Alexa, was knowledgeable of the area, and particularly its wine. One of the big plus with Amanda's Wine Adventures is its willingness to work with us to craft our day which included a pick up and drop off at our hotel. Great fun, great day with a great guide.
