We'll meet at Michel Mabelle in the vibrant St. Michel neighborhood to pick up freshly baked croissants or chocolatines. We'll stroll to a cozy café to enjoy our pastries alongside a cup of coffee while I introduce you to one of Bordeaux's most authentic neighborhoods. Known for its working-class roots and bustling multicultural streets, St. Michel has always been at the heart of the city’s life and trade. If it's a Saturday or Sunday, you'll be able to see the market!

Next we'll step from medieval streets into the Enlightenment, at the grand gateway of Porte de Bourgogne. Here, we'll meet the man who transformed Bordeaux into the elegant city it is today.

5.00I had a wonderful day exploring Bordeaux’s history and its best vegan pastry gems, followed by a cooking class in Sarala’s lovely kitchen. As a French pastry chef, it was a pleasure to be inspired by new ingredients and methods to create a lovely vegan meal and dessert. A refreshing approach and a truly personal experience. 5.00What should two people who don’t drink nor are vegans do to learn about a new city? Go on a Vegan food tour! We had a great time as Sarala led us around the city to learn about its history while eating some incredible food along the way! We had never been to Bordeaux but gathered that we liked what we saw the first few days on our own. Having Sarala confirm all our observations and “feelings” was a lot of fun made for great conversations along the way. We would highly encourage vegans and non vegans to sign up for a great time together - rain or shine! We feel like we have a new friend in Bordeaux!

5.00During this walking tour through Bordeaux my friend and I learned so much about the city’s history and signature foods. Sarala is very knowledgeable and we especially appreciated her way of sharing historic details in such a way that you picture what the streets and city must have looked like and what life must have been like in earlier times. The vegan food was delicious. It felt like spending the morning with a friend while discovering this beautiful city.

5.00I’m not a vegan but I wanted to experience French food in an unconventional way, as well as visiting and learning about bordeaux, so this tour was the perfect way to do just that! Sarah was a passionate guide, knew her stuff when it came to vegan cooking techniques and I loved her delivery of the history of Bordeaux, which was in such a story telling manner. We saw all the best sights and ate amazing food! Great value for money and a balanced rhythm of food and sightseeing. I certainly didn’t go hungry and Sarah gave great tips for how to enjoy the rest of my visit in bordeaux as well! Thank you Sarah!
