During this canyoning adventure, you'll start with a 1.2 km hike through beautiful terrain, including some uphill sections, to reach the canyon entrance. Once there, we’ll gear up and guide you through a rappelling workshop, ensuring you feel confident and ready for the adventure ahead. The excitement begins with a zipline ride into the canyon, marking the start of our descent. From there, you’ll navigate through stunning natural features, rappel down waterfalls, and experience the beauty of the canyon from within. 5.00I did the Golden Canyoning Tour with guide JP, who took us up north of Golden to a small creek that flows into the Blaeberry river. The canyon it crosses is amazing. It took us a short walk to get up on a cliff from where we rappelled and ziplined down to the bottom of the canyon. This first adrenaline hitch got all of us hooked. Jp, and assistant Denise, were reassuring and professional. Some members of our group got scared at the height of the waterfalls and at the novelty of it all that it needed our guides calm and supportive character to talk them through it successfully. In the end we all made it. It was very exciting to rapell down a waterfall. This is a great combination of an outdoor, climbing and water adventure. Definitely reccommended!

5.00If you are looking for the ultimate adventure in Golden, BC, you have to check out the Beartooth Canyon Half-Day Canyoning Tour. My friend and I booked this trip recently, and it was hands-down the highlight of our visit to the Kootenay Rockies. The experience started with a scenic 1.2km hike through the woods to reach the canyon entrance. Our guides (shoutout to Guillaume!) were incredibly professional and led a thorough rappelling workshop that made us feel totally confident before we started. The highlights of the tour: 30m Zipline: Starting the descent with a high-speed zipline into the canyon was a massive adrenaline rush. Waterfall Rappelling: We rappelled down three stunning waterfalls. The 'blueish' rock formations inside the canyon are absolutely beautiful and unlike anything I’ve seen. Perfect for Friends: Doing this with a friend made it even better, we had a blast cheering each other on through the wet rappels and the slides. Pro-Tips for your trip: What to wear: Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting wet (running shoes work great). Fitness: You don't need to be an expert, but a moderate fitness level helps for the uphill hike at the start. Location: The meeting point is near Sleepy Bear Retreat in the Blaeberry Valley, which is a stunning off-grid spot just outside of Golden. If you’re searching for things to do in Golden, BC or want an alternative to the usual rafting on the Kicking Horse River, canyoning at Beartooth is a must. It’s a short, intense, and unforgettable 4-hour experience. We’ll definitely be back for a winter ice-canyoning tour next time!

5.00I live in Calgary and canyoning has officially become my favorite thing to do. I started the season with a tour in Golden, BC, and I was immediately hooked! The experience was so incredible that I ended up booking two more trips with them this year: their Kelowna tour and the mind-blowing Heli-canyoning tour at Abraham Lake. The Banff Canyoning team is top-notch, this tour was with JP, but I also had Guillaume and Matt on my other tours. Whether you are rappelling down waterfalls or taking a helicopter into the mountains, you feel safe and totally pumped the whole time. I’m already planning my next summer—I can’t wait to head out to Port Alice for their tour there, and I’m definitely repeating a tour in the Rockies (likely the 'Aquatic' with the helicopter option with Rockies Heli next time!). If you’re looking for a unique, high-energy adventure in Western Canada, look no further. 10/10 recommend!

5.00We booked a private canyoning tour with Banff Canyoning and it was absolutely incredible! Our guide, Mathieu, was fantastic....super friendly, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. He made the whole experience so much fun. Everyone in our group said it was the highlight of their trip. This adventure even unlocked a brand new hobby for my family! The tour was exciting, safe, and unforgettable. If you’re visiting Banff and looking for something unique and thrilling, I can’t recommend Banff Canyoning enough

4.00Was a nice first experience with canyoning. Too bad the guide was very introverted and because he did everything alone in terms of preparation with the ropes, the Waiting time is long between descents. It's a start-up company so don't expect luxury.

The hike up to the canyon was gorgeous, with stunning views to kick things off. And the rappelling? Totally thrilling! It was the perfect mix of adventure and scenery. 5.00Wow, what a phenomenal experience! Traversing through rivers and waterfalls was truly incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to Guillaume. He's superb at his craft, giving you just the right amount of confidence to fully embrace the adventure. For anyone who loves adventure and being in the water, I can't recommend this enough – 100% worth it!
