The Bastion, defined around 1600, represents the northern end of the city walls surrounding Cefalù on the sea side; it is the highest point, and on this was built the polygonal base platform with the tip projected towards the sea, almost like the bow of a boat. The suggestive and elevated position compared to the city center allows a perfect view over the entire gulf in front of the city, with the Madonie mountains behind to protect Cefalu from the inside, almost like a safe embrace that continues the work of defense of the defense walls.

5.00We loved this tour! The couple that runs it is wonderful and they are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The coastline is beautiful and we really enjoyed swimming and snorkeling as well as seeing the caves. Not to be missed!

5.00Mirko and his wife who run the trips (3hrs) were lovely. Hospitable, knowledgeable and very friendly. Stops for snorkeling, drinks and good nibbles included. Well worth it and great to see Cefalu from the sea. Thoroughly recommended 😊

5.00Magic day between sun, sea and relaxation. Everything organized in detail, from the itinerary to the aperitif on board (delicious!). If you want to experience the sea from a privileged perspective, this is the excursion to do. We will definitely be back!
