Korouoma national park offers much beauty throughout all seasons! During the summer and fall seasons one may encounter abundant wild animals and floral life with stunning views of the Finnish landscapes. Be on the lookout for natural delicious berries and mushrooms as well!

The minimum number of participants for each activity is 2 adults. Single traveller could join an existing group, or choose to pay for 2 adults' price.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes according to the weather. Raincoats and rubber boots are recommended on rainy days.
Duration includes the transfer time for all the group members. The pick-up service is included from the listed locations. If your hotel or location is not listed among the pickup points, please contact us (the supplier) or the platform to check availability.
Failure to participate in the safari due to missed meeting time or meeting point will not be refunded.

Korouoma is millions of years old fracture valley in the bedrock. At the center of the valley, it forms a magnificent gorge that drops over 100 meters below its surrounding terrain. It is the main place for ice climbing in the winter but offers much beauty throughout all seasons. During the summer and fall seasons one may encounter abundant wild animals and floral life with stunning views of the Finnish landscapes. Be on the lookout for natural delicious berries and mushrooms as well! The changing altitudes may be a little demanding where fitness level is categorized as easy-moderate. The whole hiking trail (30km) Korouma offers is classified as demanding but this day trip will go on the easier nationally acclaimed ~5km hiking trail. If you are capable of walking up and down, then you can go on this easier hike. During lunch time your guide will start a fire for light BBQ. Charge your cameras and be ready for Korouma Canyon’s nature. On the way back to Rovaniemi, we will stop in another protected forest area, where we will have a chance to admire the stunning falls Auttiköngäs.

5.00Had a very pleasant day with our guide Timo (or Dimo?). Picked us up near our hotel and we had a nice drive to the canyon with lots of information about the area. We even saw a moose! Nice and sporty walk through the beautiful canyon followed by a nice fire with some almost drinkable coffee... ;) Very pleasant and interesting day. Thank you very very much!
