Live the sea of the Elbe like a real fisherman!
Become part of the crew of the Boat of Fools and prepare for an authentic experience through more sustainable fishing with an authentic fishing vessel made entirely of wood.
We will sail together the nets, live the work of a real fishing boat and then stop in a quiet cove to enjoy some relaxation.
On board we have no chef, but only fresh raw material, "Metro 0" cooked on the spot in a very simple way.
If you like to test yourself , you can help with cleaning the fish or just relax and enjoy the day
You don't have to be an Expert : just the desire to discover , have fun and experience the sea differently.
To make each experience unique and authentic, we only welcome a small group of guests, so we recommend you book your Adventure in time!

Commander Gaetano, a fisherman for over 40 years, will be ready to let you discover the secrets of sustainable fishing with nets and pots and tell you stories like real sea wolves! We will leave every morning from the port of Marina di Campo, to go and recover the nets dropped into the sea the previous evening! We will sail together the nets, and then we will stop in a quiet cove to enjoy some relaxation.Gaetano will take off his fisherman's clothes and put on his chef's apron. While on board cooking the catch of the day, you can enjoy a good aperitif, take a dip or maybe help prepare lunch.After enjoying your lunch, you can relax in the crystal clear waters of the Island of Elba, before putting your nets back into the sea and returning to port in the afternoon. There are no default routes. You choose the coves according to the fishing areas. You don't have to be an Expert: you just need to discover , have fun and experience the sea differently. If you prefer a more atmospheric atmosphere, you can board in the late afternoon for a special outing with aperitif and dinner at sunset, while the sun dives into the sea.

5.00Gaetano and his partner are very friendly, involving everyone, including the children. A unique experience, they explain the typical day of a fisherman, take you to pull up the nets, and we all have lunch together with the catch of the day. Not to mention the opportunity to swim in crystal-clear waters, enjoying the spectacle that nature offers you. Highly recommended experience.
An experience not to be missed, especially for children.

5.00The day starts slowly at the marina of Marina di Campo; the boat of the crazy ones, Gaetano and Ignazio, is easily recognizable. Without hurry, we are welcomed on board while waiting for the other guests, then we leave the port and head towards the collection of fishing nets, a fantastic experience that is lived firsthand, pulling up the nets and then re-lowering them, freeing the trapped fish that is gradually hoisted on board with patience, charm, and a lot of curiosity. We then proceed to a beautiful cove where we can dive and swim while the aperitif is prepared on board and the fish is cleaned for lunch. Amidst the chatter, swimming, and the increasingly strong scent of the sea, lunch is served. An excellent squid ink pasta and an unforgettable pan of stewed catch with tomatoes; the scorpion fish were amazing!!! Suddenly, the engines start while we are still tasting the dishes: Gaetano and Ignazio do not let slip what will be an unforgettable surprise for us... A few minutes of navigation and a group of dolphins plays under our boat, giving us wonder and unique emotions. Slowly, the anchor is thrown in the last cove where we stop to enjoy the cooler hours of the sun amidst Gaetano's life memories, watermelon, coffee, and after-coffee drinks. Inexplicably, the slow day with Gaetano and Ignazio ends without us even realizing it. All at a competitive price. Congratulations to you!!!!

5.00We had so much fun on the day on La Barca dei Matti! We caught a variety of fish, ate delicious pasta and seafood, and had many great laughs! The swimming was also incredible. The water is just amazing. We would love to come again next time on Isola d’Elba. 💕🩷🐟❤️
