Lake Wakatipu
Lake Wakatipu is the longest lake in New Zealand and the third largest. Wakatipu is a Maori word meaning, ‘Hollow of the Demon’. The lake has an unusual rhythmic rise and fall in the water level, approximately 12cm every 5 minutes. In Maori legend this strange rhythmic rise and fall of the water level, is said to be the beating heart of a monster from the deep depths of the lake.

5.00Be prepared for a long day, stops on the way to break up the trip, but once there so worth it. Milford Sound is something to see.

5.00I had a wonderful and reflective trip to Milford Sound. Mr. Chao was our driver, who is highly professional and caring to his guests. He knows the perfect timing for scenic spots with detailed interpretation. He gave time and patience for the guests to take pictures. Moreover, Mr. Chao is humorous with his identity, which brought joy for many of us. I want to express my sincere thanks to Mr.Chao for bringing me new perspectives about nature. I enjoy his ride, knowledge and humor along this journey. I wish Mr. Chao and his family all the best.

5.00We had a wonderful day on this trip, our driver was Matt - who was wonderful! He gave us so much information along the drive, and could answer any question we had. It was an informative, entertaining and beautiful 4.30ish hour drive over which we were thoroughly enjoying. The cruise itself was busy, but was beautiful. We ended up flying home after the option was raised by our driver, which was great too! We would’ve enjoyed the trip home just as much on the road with the scenery and the fantastic Kea stops too, but it was magnificent to see from above.
A must do trip when visiting Queenstown.

5.00Our tour guide was very informative, the drive did not feel as long as it was because he had so much information to give on the way. The drive was spectacular in with all the snow on the mountain tops. Would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00This is a beautiful drive through the NZ countryside. Our driver, Matt, was really great - witty, interested in our thoughts, sensitive to what would make the tour more enjoyable, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. I couldn’t hear much of the commentary on the cruise.

5.00It’s a long bus journey with breathtaking landscapes along the way. Very punctual bus guide. Just check if you have taken chicken picnic lunch because one of the snacks contains meat and pork.
