4.00Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I would give it 5 stars except for the accommodations for the number of people we had (8 adults). The older but sturdy model jeep can seat 4 guests relatively comfortably. Additionally, there are 2 fold down cushioned bench seats in the rear of the vehicle which face each other. These cozy seats might be best reserved for 2 school aged or young teen aged people. Appropriate dress is also advised for the variable temperatures as you reach the higher elevations. That said, we had a great time as our driver, Victor made the day so enjoyable and one to remember! As an aside, the booking page could use some attention, but the operators of this tour were most pleasant and quick to respond to any questions.

5.00Madeira wonders of the north 4x4 tour. Not wheelchair accessible and not for small children or people with motion sickness. Bring swimming gear, towel and sunscreen. And walking shoes. Choose the Saturday then you have Ceasar, a top performer, geographer, who knows a lot about the island and is very caring and attentive. Super exciting tearing across the island in a jeep, through very narrow streets but also nature reserves, beautiful places seen including UNESCO area, swimming in a natural bay with fine restaurant (very expensive) with changing cubicles. You can also go to the aquarium. This was our favorite excursion.

5.00We had an incredible time on our tour with Jose! We were able to take our time at all of the stops, and he steered us away from tourist traps at certain locations, which we greatly appreciated compared to other tours we have been on. He also added some special bonus stops on the way as it was a rainy day without views. My kids loved the part where they got to stand up during the off-roading, and the other groups in our car were very lovely. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Jose, as it was a highlight of our trip.

5.00We did both the East and West tours and the East was definitely our favorite! Nico was an amazing tour guide and we spent quality time at each site. We found a cafe in Santana with the best carrot cake and really good coffee (O Moinho)! Definitely worth a try!

5.00John and Milton were fantastic! Such a fun day on the jeeps. We saw the entire island and made stops along the way - this was the best way to see the area. Absolutely gorgeous and would do it again in a heartbeat.

5.00Our driverJohn was fantastic. He told us every little detail about everything. He was also really funny and charismatic, and full of positive energy. He did his job so well that there is nothing to improve. You have to personally experience a day with John to really understand his greatness, and superiority over all living beings, which simply cannot be put to words. He really is the peak of human evolution.

4.00Guide and tour were great. Only negative was the vehicle, which was old/clunky. There are other operators that are superior.
