5.00We booked a Normandy tour with D-Day Experience Tours' Sylvain Kast out of Caen, France, for four adults and two children (14 and 11) in April 2026. I had read great reviews about Sylvain on a Rick Steve's Forum and contacted him through his website: www.d-day-experience-tours.com to arrange a full day tour in early April. Sylvain picked us up at our Airbnb in Caen, France, right on time the morning of our tour. What a day we had! Sylvain had preplanned itineraries but he also asked us what we wanted to see before the date of our tour. He didn't disappoint. What a wonderful tour guide he was and it was obvious that he was well educated in the history of Normandy and all the surrounding areas. At every site we visited he brought the events to life with his in depth explanations of what we were seeing, and his love of the subject matter was obvious. We visited landing sites, cemeteries, and museums and were not rushed for time at any of the sites we visited. Sylvian was also cognizant of the kids and included them by asking questions and allowing them to express their feelngs about what they were seeing. We had one of our best lunches of our trip at a spot he had picked out and made a reservation for before our tour began which we greatly appreciated. The entire day was perfect and we recommend Sylvian Kast and D-Day Experience tours with the highest rating possible. FANTASTIC DAY!
