Taormina and Castelmola tour with Greek Theater will let you experience the history of one of the Sicilian Greek colonies and its astonishing ancient Theatre, used as a film set for many movies and TV series, such as the recent White Lotus Sicily show.
The tour starts with a visit to Castelmola Sicily a picturesque village situated just above Taormina, the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful setting and a wonderful outlook over the magnificent bay of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna rising in the distance.
Then our journey continues with a Taormina walking tour, seeing the Aragonese-style Porta Catania and Corso Umberto, once part of the ancient Roman street Via Valeria.
Enjoy a Taormina walking tour visiting the monuments of the town, as well as the most exclusive shops, restaurants, and hotels, such as the famous San Domenico Palace and the newest White Lotus Sicily location and the theatre of Taormina, the second-largest in Sicily, built by Greeks and Romans in the 3rd century BC.

Walking in Taormina is over paved and cobblestone surfaces, some of which are sloped. The Greek Theater requires climbing steep uneven stone stairs to enter and numerous steps inside.

5.00Our guide was fun on our Taormina day trip from the Messina port. Our first stop in Castelmola was a medieval town with a beautiful view of Mount Etna and the coast. The second stop in Taormina was a highlight of our trip. The ancient theater was interesting. The town was lively with many restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed fine dining with a view that was spectacular.

5.00We loved this day outing! Our guide Mariarita was exceptional and shared information and made recommendations as we drove for various places to check out in the area. Gorgeous views of Mt Etna in Castelmola! Her guided walking tour in Taormina and at the theater was also enjoyable and engaging. She clearly likes what she does! Our driver, Lorenzo, navigated the crazy roads with ease. Heartily recommend this tour and Mariarita in particular.

5.00Our tour guide, Mariatta, was the best! We had a wonderful day and saw everything that we were supposed to see. She gave us ample time in Taormina to walk around on our own. We thought she looked familiar and sure enough she was our tour guide 2 years ago. She is great and the company is super.

5.00This was a shore excursion for us, from the Port of Messina. Our guide, Katia, was top notch. She gave us a tour filled with passion, knowledge and glimpses into Sicilian life in the past and present along with an inspiring walking tour with so many beautiful views. Katia was also very knowledgeable about upcoming changes in Sicily that focused on tourism. Toward the end of the tour she gave us some hidden gems for a quick bite and then dessert. Thank you to our driver Jack also for his wonderful driving skills!! Definitely recommend. Thank you!!!

5.00We recently took this trip as part of our cruise holiday. We can thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit both Castelmola and Taormina. It was very efficient from start to finish and our guide Sara G'Acomo was an absolute delight. She was so knowledgeable and brought humour to the trip and really went out of her way to ensure we had the best experience. There had been two serious accidents on the highway that day which could have cancelled our trip (many were) but Sara and the driver made sure we still had the best day despite the trip taking longer than anticipated. We also had the reassurance that they would get us back to the ship in time for embarkation. Very good value for money.

She was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Sicily. Her explanations were engaging and informative, and she was always happy to answer questions and offer helpful recommendations. Katia kept the tour well organized while making everyone feel comfortable and included.
