Our tour partners do their best to accommodate most dietary requests but please keep in mind that alternative food options may not be up to par to original tastings. Cross contamination are always a possibility and tour company cannot take responsibility for any possible reactions. NOTE: We are unable to accept bookings for children under 19 with severe food allergies eg. nut allergy etc.
Tour is approx 2:5-3 hours long and covers approx. 5 blocks. 5 of the stops are sit down. Tour is on a schedule, although slower paced as tour guides stop during tour to show interesting points of interest in the neighbourhood.
Please arrive hungry and dress for the weather. Tour operates rain or shine. Vancouver tends to get a lot of rain October-April so please bring an umbrella or rain jacket and wear comfortable shoes.
There are 3 stops with stairs and only one has an elevator. If you have restricted mobility issues the tour may not be suitable for you.
Persons under the age of 19 must be accompanied by an adult

5.00Our Guide was Andrea, she was brilliant, very happy and friendly. we had a large group but it ran smoothly, what a great time we had with the history and food and drinks. I would recommend this tour.

5.00This was a great tour. Time flew and the information provided was detailed as well as entertaining. In terms of food, we especially liked the fried chicken and the pasta. For me, the icecream and the waffles were a little safe. It was our guide, Sean, who was the star of the show. He was knowledgeable as well as entertaining. If you do this tour, as for him.

4.00My guide was informative and experienced. I really enjoyed the food and the drinks. There were about 12 of us on the tour and that was a good size, and I socialized with a few other people. The food was good and I enjoyed the experience.

5.00David was a fantastic tour guide! His storytelling about Gastown history was interesting and engaging. We loved all the various food stops as well including the beverages we tried. . It was our first day in Vancouver and a great way to learn about the City.

5.00I recently had the opportunity to experience the Gastown Food Tour with Taste Vancouver Tours with my colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour was a fantastic combination of local history, storytelling, and delicious food. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Vancouver. We learned a great deal about Gastown's history while visiting a variety of local restaurants and food establishments that we may not have discovered on our own. The portion sizes were generous, and there was a great variety of food and flavours throughout the tour. As a tour operator ourselves, we are always looking for unique and high-quality experiences to recommend to our guests. This tour exceeded our expectations and gave us confidence that our clients will have an outstanding experience. 5.00Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable about the history of Vancouver and the Gastown district. We thoroughly enjoyed the food stops along the way. From the beer tasting, Japanese chicken, wine sampling, a salad with warm goat cheese, homemade tortellini, French fries smothered in gravy and cheese and finishing up with delicious organic ice and closed out the tour with waffles with whipped cream. Hard to say which food was the best. All were delicious in their own way. David was entertaining and made the tour 5/5.
