• Lots of standing around for 100 food ice cave.

  We did a lot of standing around, the icecave was crowded -and it was probably 15 minutes walk up and 15 back, and 3 minutes in a 100 foot ice cave - then standing around waiting for other groups to pass. The guide did not share very much information to fill the void of us standing around. I would say it was cool, if it was half the price and half the amount of time.

  We had an amazing time at the Katla Ice Cave! The tour was fun, informative and the perfect length of time for my three kids (7, 9, 11). It was a highlight of our vacation to Iceland.

  Breathtaking. There seem to be even more beautiful ice caves but if I don't want to go that far and you can visit this one all year round it's definitely worth it. Just the trip there with a monster truck and the scenery is beautiful. Then the view of the glacier over the landscape and see the clean melt water and then a bit through the cave. only minus is the price... but yes everything in iceland is expensive:)

  We had an amazing experience, and our guide was wonderful. The kids still talk about it, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. I would definitely recommend it and would happily go again

  Such an incredible experience. Our wonderful guide kept us safe while offering so much information about the area and formation of the caves. She was very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. The caves did not disappoint. They were bigger than I expected. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience and should not be missed.

  A wonderful experience on a very unusual glacier. the caves were gorgeous inside, the Icelandic guide very knowledgeable and excited to show us Katla. Easy enough for pretty much any range of fitness.

  We booked for a private excursion; there were 4 of us. Our guide was named "Hari" (though I may have spelled it wrong, he had long blonde hair and light eyes). We had a GREAT time. We were on the glacier, we had a private excursion inside the Caves, then he took us to the black beach to take some photos… he was very kind and explained many things to us. I highly recommend it ❤️🇮🇸🤩

  The wife and I really enjoyed our tour guide Gudjon. He had tons of information about the glacier and flora. He showed us where the filming of Rogue one took place and got us all to eat a little bit of the glacier.

  Our guides were Ari and Angelica, who were really engaging and knowledgeable. The tour of the caves were amazing, the views spectacular and the short trek along the glacier to get to the caves was special.

  We had a fantastic time on our tour today. Perfect amount of time and lots of opportunities for fun pictures. Our guide was knowledgeable and obviously enjoys what he does. We wouldn’t have been able to get out to the glacier caves on our own.
