Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Seventy-Five Mile Beach
As you drive along this sandy highway, you may spot birds of prey flying above or humpback whales as they migrate past (between July – November). You may wish to join the Air Fraser team for a scenic flight over the island - book with your guide on tour (optional extra).

5.00An amazing trip by our incredibly knowledgeable guide Jean. Knew the top Dingo spots, and despite the rain showed us some amazing places. Caught a load of whales making their way down the coast as we made our way down the beach!

5.00Excellent day - Dean was a great driver & gave lots of information laced with humour. Particularly glad we brought some swim rings to enjoy floating down Eli Creek. Also appreciated the ability to take a scenic flight from the beach. Buffet lunch was delicious. Highly recommend the day trip.

3.00It was a long day on a bus driving along bumpy sandy tracks looking at the same scenery. It was nice to drive along the beach as a novelty but after a while it was all the same. Our bus driver didn't stop talking the whole time and was usually talking about himself or something really random. After 8 hours, this gets very tiring and really annoying. At one stage there was a whale spotted and we asked him to stop but he just kept on talking and didn't stop so we could see it. He decided a stick in the water was more exciting to stop for. The ride was so long and so bumpy that we came away battered and bruised. I think 1/2 a day would of been plenty. I don't feel it was worth the money.

5.00Our guide, Pete was entertaining and friendly and ensured that all visitors were welcomed. The tour was excellent and informative with stunning scenery. 5.0010/10 day! From the beginning of the tour right to the end you’re taken care of. Not only did I see lots of amazing things, eat an incredible buffet lunch, and be entertained by a funny tour guide, I also came home with an amount of interesting knowledge about the flora and fauna and the history of K’gari. That’s valuable. Mum and I had a great day thanks K’gari Explorer Tours! Definitely recommend taking the opportunities to swim too :)

5.00What an amazing experience. One of the best day tours I’ve ever done. Our guide Taylah was incredible and super knowledgeable - she made this tour the standout that it is. Couldn’t recommend enough. It did help that we had the most spectacular weather. Not sure how good it would be in the rain but would still be worth it I’m sure.

5.00Every aspect of the trip was great from booking online to meeting to catch the ferry across to the island. We were lucky to have Taylah as our guide, so friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. She maneuvered our vehicle through rough narrow tracks, rocky climbs onto the beach. We saw 4 dingoes, snakes (not poisonous). We had plenty of time at each stop Recommend taking a dip in the mineral lake. Fantastic day!
Get a board the one day trip! You will not regret it!

5.00Great day trip to K’gari from start to finish. A bus picked us up early in the morning from our accommodation and dropped us off there at the end of the day. Following a ferry ride across to the island, another bus with a very informative driver/guide took us along sand roads to various locations inland and on the coast. The included buffet lunch had a good selection of food. Highlights were swimming at Lake McKenzie, driving along 75 Mile Beach and seeing dingoes.
