Your ticket gives access to three routes. The Red Route covers major landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral. The Blue Route travels from Kensington Palace to the Tower of London, stopping near Harrods, the Natural History Museum and Notting Hill. The Green Route connects King’s Cross and St Pancras with Covent Garden via the British Museum.
Choose a 24-hour or 48-hour ticket to enjoy the Thames River cruise. 48-hour tickets also include live guided walking tours in English: the Royal Walk, Jack the Ripper Walk and Harry Potter Walking Tour. Upgrade to include the Panoramic Evening Tour for stunning night-time views of London.

Please note that Stop 1 – Green Park is currently affected by a long-term closure of the main bus stand. While the Blue and Red Tours will continue to pass through this stop, boarding is impacted. As a result, the Red Tour now starts and ends at Stop 2 – Hard Rock. Customers are advised to board from this location.

Drivers skip stops

1.00Buyer beware! We had the 48 hour ticket. The first day they skipped our stop on our way back to the hotel. When we asked the bus driver why he skipped the stop, he said it wasn’t on the route. Based on the map it is absolutely on the route but we let it go. Fast forward 24 hours. We are on the same route. We asked the lady with the Big Bus shirt at the stop we were leaving if that bus would be stopping at Stop 22. She said yes. When we boarded the bus, we asked the driver if he was definitely stopping at stop 22. He said yes. And then he turned right rather than left to stop 22 when the time came. When we complained to the driver, he said he was diverted. This makes no sense as the buses in front of us had turned in that direction. I feel using the diversion excuse is probably the norm for this company when the drivers go the wrong way. Additionally, the bus does not stop every 15-20 minutes as advertised. We waited at least 30 minutes on 2 occasions. I’d let this go generally but I figure I will add it to this overall bad experience. I’m sure if i asked why then they would say there was a diversion. There are several other bus companies out there with the same route. I have no idea if they are better, but I highly suggest using them if you don’t want to walk miles more than anticipated or be potentially late to any timed activity you have planned.

4.00We enjoyed the hop on hop off bus. We also did he Jack The ripper tour which our tour guide Emma was very knowledgeable The river cruise was nice but shorter than expected. My only complaint is the bottom of the bus was not air conditioned and too hot to make the excursion enjoyable.
Schedule MORE time to sightsee and let these guys deal with the driving

3.00Omg! We took the red line of this tour that said it would be about 2 hours and the traffic in London made it about 4. We missed the River cruise at the end, but it was well worth seeing the sights and not having to drive

5.00I purchased a Discover ticket, via Wowcher, valid for one day, which included the bus routes and a one-way boat cruise. I went solo and boarded the red route bus at stop one, Green Park station on Piccadilly. This was very simple to find. I spoke with a really friendly, helpful young man, who helped me exchange my Wowcher voucher for the bus and cruise ticket. I did wait about 20-30 minutes for the bus, but it was a beautiful day, I personally didn't find this a hardship. I was fortunate and managed to bag one of the few seats left on the upper deck, right at the back, in the corner. This would have been exactly my seat of choice! I planned to stay put for the entire route, so I made myself comfortable. I was provided with free, hygiene sealed in-ear headphones, to plug into the seat-back audio device, to listen to the pre-recorded commentary. I thought this was excellent! Presented in a fun, engaging manner, clear, relevant and informative. It was also plenty loud enough and the headphones mostly stayed put! To ride the entire red route on a warm, sunny Friday in London took around 3½ hours. This was fine for me, I wasn't using it as transportation (you need the tube for that!) but as a relaxed sightseeing experience, which is exactly what the tour delivered. On returning to Green Park, I hopped on the tube (Victoria then District line) to Tower Hill, to get the included cruise, down to Westminster. Sadly, on arrival at the pier, I was informed that the next two services had been cancelled, due to a broken down boat. It would have been a 2-hour wait for the next functioning service (also the final one, I believe). This was incredibly disappointing and an unfortunate end to a fabulous day. I will be contacting Big Bus Tours about this... I decided to jump on an Uber Boat (Thames Clipper) instead. Whilst probably not as relaxed and 'cruise' orientated as the Big Bus/City Cruises offering, I got myself a lovely spot on the outer deck and still managed to enjoy the river views I'd hoped for. All in all, I had such a lovely day and would recommend, especially if you have plenty of time and want to get a pretty unique viewpoint of some of the most popular areas of London's West End and the City. And, in my opinion, going solo was great! I just focused on the views and the commentary.

2.00Great narration but infrequent arrival times. The bus also ends much sooner than is convenient for using it to get you home from attractions. The team was non-responsive via the Viator app so, if you do book this tour, book directly with them. If I were re-doing this trip, I would choose a different company—TootToot seemed to be having much more frequent pick-ups at all the same stops.

1.00Not worth the money - busses over crowded so wait times can be 1 hr plus-not regular enough- we used multiple cabs as after waiting for busses there was no room. Original bus company had more empty busses but would be cheaper to plan an use a black cab when needed.

4.00We did the Big Bus in London and also in Paris. The app was very useful to see where the stops were and where the current buses were at. There were several times it took a while for the buses to come. I don’t mind that so much, but waiting in the direct sun got tiring. I did appreciate the stops that had someone from the company there to help you. Not all stops have people there- so be ready. Do give a full day to do a loop. We did jump off about 3 times, and the blue loop took most of the day. If you are going, I would recommend a fan. The bottom floor was stuffy, while the top in the sun got really hot. The audio gave some facts, but I wish it would have given more. We drove by many buildings I was interested to know more about. Overall it was nice to do once, but we plan to use the tubes to get to places faster (the traffic was really bad). I think the price was a bit high for what you got.

5.00Took the tube directly from LHR to central London and the Big Bus stop 1. Very easy, good narrative with the provided ear buds. Also really enjoyed the boat ride and commentary on the Thames provided with the bus tour.
