Under the guidance of an experienced Navajo tour guide, you will go deep into this ancient land. Including all the spectacular monuments, red spiral rocks, buttes, mesas, arches and rock paintings, many rare natural wonders will be fully displayed in front of you.

Many famous movies, such as Transformers, were filmed around this area. As the journey progresses, the beautiful view you see will remind you of many classic and well-known movie plots, giving you immersive feelings.

You will know the history of Monument Valley. You can hear ancient legends and interesting anecdotes, passed down by words of mouth generation to generation, that are only known by local Navajo people.

1.5 hours tour is 17 miles in length. It takes you on the self guided route where you will closely see tall spectacular monuments and enjoy fantastic view of natural lanscapes, including Red spiral rocks, buttes, mesas and so on. Our experienced tour guides will also point out areas movies were filmed, such as Transformers and Forrest Gump. They will share with you the history of monument valley. You can hear ancient legends and interesting anecdotes, passed down by words of mouth generation to generation, that are only know by local Navajo people. You will arrive John Ford's Point at first, where many of John Wayne's classic western movies were filmed. Then you will visit Totem Pole, Yei Bi Cheii, and North Window, which offers magnificent views of the West and East Mitten. In the end, the tour guide will drop you off on the departure point.

2.5 hours tour is 27 miles in length. On this tour we take you off the beaten trail. It covers the self guided route as well as the restricted area. Amory our guide was GREAT!!! Grew up in the area and knew so much about the history of the valley. Took time to show us special locations, helped take pictures of our group and pointed out special interests along the way. We would definitely do this Monument Valley tour again and would request Amory to be our guide.

It was well worth the time. Did not complete the entire loop for two reasons: 1) not sure we needed to see more than what was available at the turn-around point. 2) and, we were on a bit of a time constraint as we wanted to lunch in Bluff and than get to Moab at a decent time.
A must see.

Amazing views. The driver was late for the tour. I had to contact the operator 3 times to make sure he was coming. He barely gave us information on the sites. You can book a tour on site , there are other immediately available tour operators.
A great way to learn about Monument Valley

We did the 1 1/2 hour tour at 8:00 am as we were traveling to the Grand Canyon afterwards. Helen was our tour guide and she did a wonderful job telling us stories about all that we were seeing. Monument Valley is a must see destination and the tour was well worth doing. While you could drive this route on your own, you would miss so much about the history of the valley.

Our guide, Helen, was wonderful. She shared so much Navaho history and traditions. Navigating the terrain without her driving would have been very difficult.

We enjoyed driving the Loop trail. It is so beautiful and we stayed at the View Hotel. I loved going out on my balcony and seeing the Rock formations. I got to watch the sun rise which was so beautiful! I highly recommend going here.

The views were amazing. Our guides Chris and Dorothy were very cool and attentive Make sure you take the tour that visit the navajo woman at her home. It was such a great experience. Will never forget her.
Bad/non existent meetup directions caused me to miss the tour! I want my money back!

I missed the tour because the meet up directions were so vague, they told me to meet at the visitor center 30 minutes early and I arrived 1 hour early and NOBODY was there to meet me! To make things worse the name of the compamy was not given to me (as there are multiple companies that do tours there) and the contact info given to me was just a useless middle man who had no idea what was going on and who gave. me further numbers to call, some of which didnt answer and others led me on a wild goose chase! I decided to pay the $8, go into the parl !and drive the loop myself simce the last directions I got told me to pay money amd go into the park! Aftet that I got a text with vague directioms to meet at a tent that wasnt there but that was aftet the fact! The communicatiom was horrible! Perhaps have a MORE PERCISE MEETING LOCATION WITH MORE DETAILED MEETING INSTRUCTIONS and a contact person with more direct knowledge of the tour!

Good tour. Beautiful but very bumpy roadway. Guide was difficult to understand and very short stops at each viewpoint. I suggest you bring Dramamine.

Everything you have read or heard about this MAGICAL trail is true+. We received our first dose of delight via an excellent guided tour from Monument Valley Safari. Luckily our 5,000-mile+ cross country odyssey schedule allowed for a second ramble in our trusty Outback. Double the visual pleasure! We strongly recommend taking the drive early; the line to get on builds by the hour. Make sure your camera is fully charged because you will be afforded thousands (no kidding) of photo ops in this one-of-a-kind place on Planet Earth. Immerse!
