Triple J Tours operates exclusively on Lake Kununurra between the Diversion Dam (Kununurra) to the Ord Top Dam (Lake Argyle). If you have been fortunate enough to visit Lake Argyle already, or you are an avid photographer chasing incredible scenery in changing light, take a cruise up and down the river on Australia's Longest Daily River Cruise - the Ord River Explorer! Be taken by coach at 11.30am to the Marina and one of Triple J's modern vessels. Then it's out into the East Kimberley wilderness, 55kms gliding over an iconic outback waterway, scanning the landscape for birds and wildlife, maybe a freshwater crocodile sunning itself on a rock. The last 15km of the cruise is an exhilarating one with fast-flowing water and narrow paths before arriving at the Ord Top Dam (& you get to experience this twice!). Gaze in awe at the man-made spectacle that made this thriving ecosystem possible, before turning and heading back downstream to a riverside camp for afternoon tea. Nearing Kununurra, appreciate the immense beauty of a Kimberley sunset whilst still out on the water. You will be returned to your pick up point at the conclusion of the tour.

5.00A must do for Kunamurra. A day on the Ord River is stunning! Tour guide Will was full of fabulous facts and along with wildlife the scenery is breathtaking.

5.00An excellent afternoon out with our boat guide Trevor! Knowledgeable and friendly with some awesome driving skills! Comfortable boat, great Smoko, and we saw things we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. And the Dad jokes were free! Highly recommend doing this if you’re ever in Kununurra.

5.00Had a great trip up the Ord River to the base of the Dam wall. Jeff our skipper was really knowledgeable about the area, fauna and flora. Views along the gorge and river were beautiful. Got to see some fresh water crocodiles which was a bonus. Afternoon tea was good too. Was certainly a good day out.

5.00What a wonderful afternoon we spent on this tour. Will our skipper and tour guide was fantastic. He had a great sense of humour but also provided so much information on the Ord River and the wildlife in the area. We had a lovely afternoon tea at a camp on the back of the river. If you are looking to do a tour while in Kunanarra I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00The river eco- system is Big. Will made sure we were informed of all aspects and consequences of weather changes and introduced species. He was kind, respectful and witty. A clear sky for the sunset would have been a great magic trick, Will.

5.00Jeff, boat driver and guide was amazing 👏 From Ord Top Dam for 55klms of awesome, scenery, birds, bats, crocs, his wealth of information was endless, would highly recommend, when visiting Kununurra.

5.00Fantastic day on board with our guide Mabo. Just a small group of 10, which was nice. Very knowledgeable commentary and local anecdotes. Great wildlife/bird spotting too! Great value for money, with a yummy afternoon tea included. The amazing sunset topped off our day!

5.00We loved our cruise on the Ord River, Will was an awesome, funny & informative tour guide & our captain for the day. We would highly recommend the J4 cruise as you get to do the cruise both ways all the way from Kununurra to the Lake Argyle dam wall & experience so much wildlife & beautiful scenery along the way. We loved the afternoon tea camp site & the food was so yummy, thanks to the cook for the pumpkin scones & muffins plus the fresh fruit. Well done Triple J 🤩

5.00We had a trip down the Ord back to Kununurra with Will. Had a great afternoon with Will's numerous and informative commentary. Afternoon tea was excellent with cupcakes, fruit and pumpkin scones. Saw a number of freshwater crocs as well as sea Eagles and their nest. Great fun!
