Osaka Castle
We begin our tour from Osaka Castle. It’s one of the most iconic spot of great historical significance in Osaka. We’ll traverse the park grounds, too, all the while talking about the history, architecture, and significance of the spot. Historically, the castle’s reconstruction has been somewhat indifferent, and we would recommend considering other options instead. Trust us. We spend about 75 minutes here.
Shitennoji
Shitenno-ji, founded in 593 AD by Prince Shotoku, is recognized as Japan’s oldest official temple. With over 1,400 years of history, it stands as a symbol of the introduction of Buddhism to Japan. The temple’s unique layout—from the majestic central gate to the five-story pagoda and main hall—offers visitors a serene and spiritual experience.

5.00We were shown key sites and taught history of Osaka. He individualized it to our interest. We asked to be shown classic foods, so he took us to multiple places to try the unique Osaka foods he grew up eating. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed the tour.
